I see your under 11's won some middx cup beating Wembley in the final.

Good draw for us, but would have been better at home. If we win, we play Yeading at home. Last season we beat Brenford 6-2 in the middx cup, before losing with ten men away to a strong Hayes side.

Gavin, I think we have Yeading at home if we beat our 'good friends' from the Middlesex Stadium. You will have Staines or Wealdstone athome

LOL apart from the fact that they wanted to knock our ground down and do a deal with the development company (this a few months ago) leave us homeless, after sharing our ground for nine years. Apart from the fact that their fans attacked our manager in a league game nearly ten years ago..and apart from the fact their fans are smug gits who have a chip the size of all of Harrow on their shoulders...NO, lol.

Shame they are at Northwood, in the Southern prem and will (hopefully be relegated) this season. Shame they cant afford to finnish the building of their new ground in Cannons Park (up the road from Edgware) that Barnet have offered to buy the lease and lease it back to wstone, meaning they still wont have their own ground....Shame..

LOL, excatly all fact, They tried to do a deal with the company who want to knock our ground down, as they were going to finance the completion of their ground. Now we have been given an extended five year lease, Barnet have come in, and want to buy the ground from Harrow Council, then lease it back to wstone on a 125 year lease.

I think Barnet would move in there themselves, as they need to upgrade Underhill and cant as its on Greenbelt land.

I dont know what will happen to Edgware after the five year lease is up(I will find out next week at the pre season games) but hopefully we have between now and then to sort things out.

Sport England and the local council all backed against any builiding being done on the WLG and to leave it as a sports field.

The saga at the Prince Edward ground took a new twist last Monday when Barnet FC announced that they were to take over the site and commit a multi million pound cash injection to finish the Stadium adding a health club. sports injury clinic and banqueting facilities. Harrow council have offered a 125 year lease and the Bees will use the ground for training, a home for their ladies team and a planned football academy. All this is subject to planning being granted at the council meeting on 3rd August, the ground could be ready for 2007/08 season.

Wealdstone are to rent the stadium from Barnet and in reality they are just trading one ground share agreement for another. There is also the fear that Barnet could possibly leave Underhill and move into Prince Edward displacing Wealdstone.

It's decision time for the Stones

An addendum to Edgware Developments planning application states that they have agreed with the council to pay £750,000 towards the Prince Edward Development and £120,000 to Wealdstone Football Club. It makes you wonder where the rest of the money that will be required to complete the project is coming from? That could be as much as another 2 million.

How can the Council actively support a club wanting to move into the area, at the expense of one that has been in the borough for the past 66 years!

Is this a bribe? Is this legal? We know the Council are desperate to get ride of the expense of supporting what is turning into a White Elephant at Prince Edward, but to do that by allowing the White Lion to be developed for housing is immoral.Have the council not considered developing the Prince Edward site for housing? It has a lot more space, better road access and would have less impact on the local community.

Wealdstone sold their ground and have now spent the millions they received for it. Why do the Council, Edgware Town and the local residents have to pay the price for their mistakes.

Harrow Council's Development Committee unanimously rejected Edgeware Developments planning application to build houses and flats on the White Lion ground at their meeting last night.

The councillors saw through the ruse to relocate Edgware Town with a ground share agreement at the Prince Edward site and the offer of £750,000.00 towards the cost of finishing the Prince Edward project.

The planning officer could not give the council any indication of the estimated total cost or when, in fact even if, the Prince Edward site would be completed. As this was the cornerstone of the landlords case the application was refused.

Concerns about the effect of the proposal on flooding and the local road network were also raised. The planning application contravened the Councils own policy on the development on green field sites and would have had to be referred to Central government if it had been granted
