LS im affriad your wrong about myself i am friends with someone who is still at the club now, what makes me laugh is the way Jim sits in the dougout and lets Peter shout his stupid tacticts and yet does nothing !

how hard is it to win the essex senior league ... ? but i dont see us having a good run in the major cups do you !! last year ok st albans but yet again poor choice of team.

I partly agree.I also get annoyed by Jims silence on the bench, when things are going wrong.

Look.Jims loyalty and achievements mean he derseves another full season in charge, and i am quitely confident he will produce a top six place for us again. If he doesn't match our expectations, i will be just a critical as the next man and would have no quams about parting company with him,if the team stopped improving and challenging for honours. So yes, Jim does deserve some of the criticism that comes his way,but i don't believe he is given the credit he deserves for his positive qualities and achievments.

PS..Rumours, i presume your friend has been frustraited with not getting a regular starting place, when others always seem to get picked no matter what there form is? Correct??

Not all managers who jump up and down screaming at the team have success but some managers who have someone else do their shouting do have success, it's all down to individual style as to how the manager behaves.

You have him for life lovely stuff and you know it. I could see what was occuring during my brief time at E T at the start of 2001 , It was the same sort of goings on when we was one club ,Look what happened When T L sacked him = Half the club went on strike and Tom didnt stand a chance not that he was that good ,It was the same when George was replaced by westley another load of backstabbing went on back then as well .westley also never stood a chance ,What a mistake that was =look where he took stevenage and he may have even saved our ground , Jim has friends who will keep him in the Job for as long as he wants . I read a E T programe at the end of last season and I saw you're Head steward down as a coach , Whats that about then . Its why I couldnt support E T its just too cliquey for me.

Dave Farenden has been our safety officer from the formation. The other Dave Farenden was a coach with us for one season (he came from Brimsdown i think). He actually played a game or two for us in minor cup games. They are two different people MFM.

As an old lefty.I would have thought you would be in favour of strike action and union power aginst the Establishment. So former EFC fans were upset when Lazarou twice sacked our manager for an inferior one.shock horror.maybe the rumour that Westley gave EFC a £10k sweetener was more important to certain people, than keeping a successful manager who was popular with the fans.

Most of the former EFC fans and current Town fans demand success and to constantly strive to improve and be the best.No manager or player is bigger than our club and our desire to improve.Chandler has done an excellent job. When he stops doing that and taking us forward, he will go.That situation hasn't arisen yet.If or when it does, the fans and Jim himself will do the best thing for the club.Loizou was not as good as Chandler.Westley was not as good as borg, and Chandler has consistantly perfomed better than his EFC counterpart since the split.Hindsight can somtimes be a welcome friend.

Was it right to back a chairman, who could stand accused of sacking two popular managers, basically just to spite his own fans?

I'll think we'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

.....Give last seasons Town squad to Jim Chandler (backed by Towns supporters) and they would come top four.It will be fascinating to see where those same players come in the league without Chandler as manager and without the same level of support.....

You been out in the sun today LS?

The support I agree with, having a distinctly average manager in charge, sorry cant see what benefit that has, then again having a lucky manager now that is always a benefit!

This season will be the ultimate test for Chandler. He's been trying to dispand the original ESL team for some time now.I personally think he was too keen to release his original players last season, without bringing in players that were significantly better. But he has realised that he has used up his vast supply of ex-EFC(and youth) players, and he has realised that he needs a complete overhaul in order to move us to the next step.

If he manages to do it,we get more success. If he can't pull it off, some fans will get their wish and he will be replaced. All in all,it should be a fascinating and eventfull season.

When I have been involved in Industrial action / picket / Demo duty it is for worthwile causes .I wouldnt put old misery guts jim down as a worthwile cause. The shameful bombing of lebanon and refusal of entry to cleric bakri are next on my list of demo duty.

Regarding the formation of EFC.The action was taken for many reasons. It had nothing to do with backing or not backing Jim Chandler. It was totally about Lazarous DICTATORSHIP and grip on the club. His systematic disolving ,weakening and selling off of club assets, and the realistic believe that he would rather see the club slowly sink into minor football or see the club fold, rather than relinquish control. The overwhealming majority of EFC fans voted to reform. You defied that collective vote .Far be it from me to call you a scab.I'll leave that to others like Steph, who are more qualified to do so.

So you believe you only have to strike or show solidarity, when YOU (the individual) think the cause is worthy enough, and to hell with the wishes or your fellow workers/Supporters.That sounds like selective socialism to me.The truth is, that you probably like being the outsider and holding minority beliefs.Thats probably why you veer towards minority causes such a Alienology and Far-left Demos. And maybe why you ultimately decided to stay with EFC.
