GRS67
I was wondering is there any reason other then logistics that Hanwell / Hillingdon and Brook House all went into the Southern league? Seeing that they are all from over Heathrow way and I think all in middx? wouldn't they have been better placed in the Isthmian north div 1? Does this mean that IF Edgware were to win promotin we would be in the Southern? I hope not, as I would rather be in the Isthmian North for more local games. That said, the day trips to the west country and a nice pint of cider would be fun.

neutralbob
we had a choice, ryman north or southern and opted for southern as we would play against sides that we didnt know etc, so something new, new ground etc, and the travelling isnt much worse than if we were in ryman north i dont think, plus we hate WARE!!! GRS67
Dont ask me why but I was just looking at the Ware site (from a link) they had loads of pics up from them winning the league, and their fans day out celebrating. Though I can't stand them, at least they do have a few young fans who get behind the team, I wish we had that at Edgware. Do you think Brook will get any new support this season? At least you are in for a lot of derbys this season at Brook, games with Uxbridge/Hanwell/Hillingdon should all make for good games and crowds. The days of clubs being given the choice are long gone. It's all decided at the FA nowadays by their Leagues Committee.

Football Man
I think you will find that the Southern League refused to release you as "the paperwork was too far advanced"! Your Secretary didn't even know the Ryman had been speaking to the Southern about transferring your club until it was announced at the Ryman AGM. I thank you! Rhodes
Read in Non League today boys that Southern League Club's could be moved into the Northern half of the Pyramid under new plans to create an extra division at Step 4 level. As you know the Unibond league, who were an absolute pain in the jacksy, failed to create an extra division covering the North Midlands in time for this season however that division may still be set up in time for next term with the most northerly Southern League Club's being told they must help to make up the numbers. Er, I hate to say this Neutralbob, but Brook House springs to mind, hope you got to Camberley okay.

Rhodes
Er well seeing you think Brook are better than Brazil 1970 promotion should just be a formality this season with maximum points. Did you go to Leverstock Green on Saturday or are you an armchair supporter.
