Billericay in Away Win Shock

Harrow 1-2 Billericay

Good battling performance from the lads, harrow reduced to 10 men midway through 1st half.... Essandoh gives us the lead after half hour with an excellent finish.... BT dominant with both Grahams and Wallo having chance to extend lead.... Harrow come out well 2nd half.... DJ doubles our lead on hour mark minutes after coming on..... Harrow pull one back 20 to go..... DJ has shot cleared off line..... ref plays about 10 mins extra time to give travelling support heart failure but eventually blows up.

Most importantly Billericay go above C*nv*y by 1 goal on GD with 2 games in hand

A very quiet start to the game was suddenly changed by their no.5 deciding to elbow Richard in the face, no idea why. After that we had a number of incidents and subsequent cards shown. Thought that Jamie was taken off before he was sent off, why does he always have to get involved in aggro situations?

Roy took his goal brilliantly and shows why you need a regular goalscorer in your team even if he does not contribute a lot else at times. Also DJ finished well lets hope we sign him now that his loan period has expired. Interesting to see Dave Mcdonald back with us as well, I presume he was on the subs bench as he was kicking around with the other subs at half time.

Also thought it was a 'game of two halves' for the ref did ok first half but in the second he was poor.

A mention must also be made for our defence which were excellent, Harrow only had a couple of clear chances all game.

i thought we did enough to take the three points agst a harrow side that battled away gamely but didnt really create too much. roy took his goal really well and once dj came on for the willing yet ineffective wallace we looked potent up front. i'm gutted that once again a dispute with management will lead to a talented player leaving this club when anyone could see what an asset he could be.

the defence played well again and i think its testament to the improvement russell has made that the period he was moved from midfield to right back coincided with the period when harrow dominated the centre of the park.(does anyone know if henty was injured or was it a "tactical" change)

i thought the officials were consistently poor thru out the whole game in line with the very weak standards thru out the season.

all in all loads better than tuesday and good for the faithful to be able to cheer an away win

Good performance, especially in first half. Only criticism is that we didn't put the game beyond Harrow by the time the half time whistle went. Second half I thought we got a bit sloppy at times, but still looked like scoring every time we went forward. Both the Grahams were superb (and both nutmegged the Harrow No.3) and as for DJ, quite simply, quality. Sign him up please.

Keep it going lads, all we need is a little bit of consistency over the Xmas fixtures and we'll be right back in there.

C'MON YOU BLUES!
