No Roger and Jane can't have heard about it yet, it's their loss, Jane is probably too busy on their first programme of the season and winning the programme of the year award for the sixth season running. Turning in now peeps, laters.

Welcome Tubbsy8, great to have St Margaretsbury onboard who are very much a stalwart of the SSML with Station Road always being a good place to visit during the season particularly with your bar facilities. What sort of campaign are you expecting, last season was somewhat disappointing for you but I assume you have quite a few new players following your change of Manager. Do you happen to know the full Challenge Trophy draw so we can post it on here, nobody seems to have it.

The personel has obviously changed things both management and players. Last season was a dissappointment in respect of the league but the FA cup run was good, you may recall we beat Barkingside and Billericay. I am hoping the season ahead will bring a fresh approach and a developing side over the course of the season. Unfortunately we bought into the reputation of players rather than stuck to what we knew last season and despite a good start we went down hill after christmas. For the record I wasn't there when we lost 5 times to Brookhouse. I don't know the draw yet for the challenge trophy.

I'm waiting for an e-mail from Phil Rolt, the SSML fixtures Secretary, with the Challenge Trophy draw as well as the draws for the three seperate divisional cups, it should be here any time and I'll post them straight on. Clearly each Club in the SSML will have at least two cup ties to look forward to but as you said Manorborn it would have made sense to make the draws common knowledge as early as possible so teams can prepare particularly if they have a 'money spinning' home tie to look forward to as in Kentish Town's case at home to the mighty Biggleswade United in the Challenge Trophy.

An email from a SSML official not carrier pidgeon WOW well done Cliff, things are looking up. Look forward to seeing the cup fixtures. Keep up the pressure Cliff you know what these league bods are like.

No point in asking for league fixtures it's not August yet. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Manorborn - Hertford Town seem to have got hold of their first batch of league fixtures from somewhere, fair play, HTFCew must know somebody I don't. Hertford have also been given byes in both first rounds of the cup competitions so already lady luck is shining on them, they may as well be awarded the championship now. Anyway guess who Hertford play in their first game of the season on 22 August, that's right, got it in one. Don't be too hard on the SSML hierarchy, they have our interests at heart and and are just being over cautious not to be caught with their trousers down.

What! without a game played yet. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> I can think of 20 clubs that would probably disagree with the last part of you statement.

.. back from the bank now. Yes NF, no doubt we will be drawn at their place in something or other! I use their old programmes as bookends for all my other programmes!
