Horace - Trust you to put your twopennysworth in, for your information I would be a model moderator and I wouldn't let the position influence me in any way shape or form, furthermore I think Ian will grab my arm out of its socket as I'm never a million miles from a keyboard and I always go that extra mile. Spidermanor's post, or should I say rant, is just sour grapes and of course I don't promote my own agenga's, that's probably the craziest thing I've heard since one of 3praise's posts.

C'mon boyz! Rhodesy takes a hell of a lot of stick on here. He's fair minded and knowlegeable. He'll always give a reasoned argument back. He's only complained about racist and abusive remarks and that is a Moderators job to delete. I really can't see him hitting the delete button just for opposing views. He'd be bored stiff on here if he didn't have you guys and gals to banter with, as would you...

If Rhodes became moderator you & Paula wouldn't be allowed to post on here as you're not connected with an SSML club. Also, no-one would be allowed to start a new thread - we'd all have to look for one from months ago that we could add a post to.

I dunno about that. We are all fans of football. As this is a 'public forum'. I hate the old closed shops, well actually i don't because if they were 'closed' we couldn't post anyway. As long as the banter etc is kept within the SSML confines or general spirit of the thread, i can't see any problem, unless ofcourse we were to make racial remarks or be abusive....But, it's not our style wink

You've just proved my point with this reply. Rather than debate the issues raised in it you've just insulted both myself and Horace. Can you please explain exactly what sour grapes I'm supposed to be harbouring?

It's more than interesting that the likes of Gavin and Bitch would be happy to see me as a moderator and the usual suspects such as Spidermanor, Horace, Potters Bar Town, Tubbsy8, Yearup and to a lesser degree HTFCew and NeutralFan don't. To suggest that it would kill the Forum is laughable, indeed there have been some disturbing posts with racial and abusive content recently and I would see to it that future posts by the culprits (no names mentioned) are meticulously screened, if the practice persists then they will be brought to book and banned, BewareofRhodents style.

Please feel free to wallow in the support of Gavin and Bitch as they respresent teams who are either no longer ssml or who are not ssml at all. So according to your arguments against PBT on another thread would not be able to post on this message board under your regime. But of course you'll conveniently forget that made up rule as they have said nice things about you.

 

Your comments also show how naive you are as policing unsavoury comments is the minor part of the moderators role. Any moderator on this forum has a huge job in front of them in cleaning up the old and redundent threads and locking them off. Something I can guarantee you would refuse to do.

 

You yourself unfortunately have made more nasty, unnecesary and unsavoury posts then any one else on here. The fact that you fail to understand (or just plain ignore) the effect your snide backhanded comments have on people, only goes to prove your unsuitability for the role.

 

Now please if you are going to answer this post, please do so properly using reasoned argument, and forget your usual smoke and mirrors diversionary approach.

As for the Ryman Div One North Forum - well know one will use it!!. Hx will be gone frown that leaves Enfield. Know one else really uses a general forum (some dont use it at all like PBT). In my opinion a total waste of time!

You ignore the issues in some posts

You make promises you cant keep

You take too long to answer PMs (thats if you answer them at all)

You would ban Krooner, Cantos, PBT myself and probably some others as we have nowt to do with SSML (you'll have to ban Gavin too)

There are probably lots more reasons but none have come immediately to mind
