GRS67
Did you like the little smiley thing? lol You still at Brook House? you have some good games this season. Are the club happy to be in the Southern league or would they have rather been in the Ryman north?

Why have Canvey been relegated to the ryman?
GRS67
Realistic how do you think they will do? I heard that Brook were in the SSML before joining ryman 2. When did you leave SSML, how do you think Edgware will do?
GRS67
Teams like Hanwell and Hillingdon may struggle more then Brook House, seeing that the ryman 2 is supposed to be a stronger div then ssml, albeit the same step 5.
neutralbob
Edgware should do very well in SSML, not normally as strong as Ryman 2 but with restructure its a decent league, but u should do very well realistically, we will struggle, lost a couple of players, low budget, i think hillingdon will be ok as bit more money and got couple very good players in, but hopefully we will be ok

WAS Gavin not is, Ryman 2 no longer exists. I don't understand this stronger league business. Over the past couple of years or so we have beaten Edgware, Hertford, Kingsbury, Brook House and Wembley. OK all in one off cup games but 5 out of 5 and we haven't been a strong force in the SSML.
GRS67
You are a Ruislip fan right? I cant really talk about how strong the ssml is, till I see some of the teams in action, just going by what I read in the past. As I said, Hill boro made the Vase final from the SSML, so that has to be a good benchmark.

Lato
Not going to get into an arguement with you but I was at the game (it was 5-1) and we didn't play a full strength team either. However don't think judging by his post match comments the Brook manager was too impressed by his teams effort especially the two comical goals conceded in the first half. You are right though it was a two bob cup but a 5-1 win and a cup final are fact With regard to Manors players at Brook, well now you are a step higher so I wouldn't expect them to get in your team. Doesn't stop you manager coming to look though does it as he did many times last season!

Lato
Like I said I'm not arguing, infact I agree with you about our players. Just out of curiosity who is the one player who is now with you?

neutralbob
cant tell u that! he may not have signed on the dotted line yet! my arguement isnt really to do with manor, its more to do with the fact that i feel ryman 2 was a stronger league than spartan, having played 2 seasons in both, the only reason spartans may be slightly more difficult is the amount of games u have to play, but in terms of quality, ryman 2 all day
Lato
Okay fair enough though I can guess who from last years Manor side it could be, just likely to get more info re players on here than out of the club! I don't know about the relative strengths of Ryman 2 v SSML. I always though SSML had greater strength in depth in that anyone could beat anyone but Ryman possibly had pound for pound a few better teams. Also ryman 2 teams were probably more established in terms of facilities. I guess the theories will be bourne out by how well Chalfont, Edgware, Hertford and Kingsbury do this year. neutralbob
expect chalfont edgware to be very strong, i expect V&E to be strong as plenty of cash also, along with harefield
Manorborn100
Interested to see you say that Chalfont will be strong. I always thought of them as perenial strugglers, part of the deadwood in the Ryman (no offence meant).
neutralbob
if they keep the same side as last yr, they will do well, very good footballing side, good wingers/wing backs, great striker, strong defensively
