Sad day all round ....

We are not happy about jarvis signing thats for sure..however is there no way we can find middle ground ? Emma and Gary we don't want to lose you ! and also when supporters start picking the side for the manager , what next ?

WE HAVE TO FIND MIDDLE GROUND....I HAVE SPOKEN TO GARY OFF THIS FORUM...and hope we can find a way to get Jarvis to apolgise fully to Emma, set a meeting up and work something out !

Poor Roy is at his wits end trying to keep all Parties from falling out with each other and to find common ground....

Gary and Emma please talk to me...off this web forum again..please....I want to help....

So when players that we like leave we are told to get on with it, the past is history, players are mercenaries and that Eddie will sort us out. When rumours fly about that a player we dislike is due to sign for the club and we object we are told to put up with it and support the decision for the good of the team.

Why don't Roy or Bernard just say to Eddie that we have problems with this bloke and we should not sign him? Is Eddie even aware of the incident? I wonder how the rest of us would react if something like that was said to us or to one of our nearest and dearest?

It is a tricky diplomatic case for Roy. On the one hand he knows the fans are the lifeblood of the club and the likes of Gary and Emma who do so much would be a great loss. But on the other hand he doesn't want Eddie undermined over team decisions, because ultimately Eddie is manager and should be the person making the decisions over team selection and squad personnel.

As Martin says, I hope Eddie is given the full story on why Gary and Emma are so opposed to Jarvo signing so that he can make his mind up on what to do.

As Gary has put this on another forum I hope he won't mind me quoting him

Emma was running the club shop from the bar area at Windsor. We were attacking the turnstile end, so Emma had moved round to get to the bar to set up shop ahead of the half time rush, but hadn't beaten the gates being closed to let the players off.

Hampton had scored a goal just before half time to put them 1-0 up and Jarvis had been giving it large to the home support after the goal, despite not much being exchanged between the two groups. Clearly wound up, he launched a verbal attack on those at the gate using every expletive under the sun, and it had clearly shaken Emma as by the time we had moved round, she was in tears and visibly shaken.

It's all fair and well arranging for him to apologise now, but then, he'd be very keen to do so as he wants a move to us so it's in his interest to do so. If he was that concerned, he would have apologised closer to the time. His apology now won't really mean anything.

As I said above on this thread though, if we're looking to sign him purely due to a budgetary constraint, then I'm happy to chip in a weekly amount direct to the playing budget to ensure we can get an alternative in.

King Tut..spot on ....

Martin has a good point too...so difficult to say...however we behind the goal were a bit responsible for the Jarvis altercations, we are gulity of winding him up too... He was born in Slough and If I can get him to apologize to Emma face to face ..then I will....(if thats what Emma wants) I will be happy to be the middle person in this case) I can also understand if Emma does not want too...but at least I will try to help the situation if required...

oh [****!!****] Chris. I guess it was our fault every other time he's gone off on one on the pitch, and every other time he's been sent off BY GOD it must have been those nasty supporters and not the fact that a man in his mid thirties can't control his temper. The man is a liability, end of story

Chris, in the match where the incident happened, very little to nothing had been exchanged between the two until Hampton scored and Jarvis turned round to celebrate at the Slough fans. Following matches have seen him targetted, much because of that starting things off and no doubt the incident with Emma. That and the fact he's easy to wind up and get him off his game.

I don't really go and watch Slough play because of the quality football. I go because every now and then we have a great run or a great result (FA Trophy 97/98 or Walsall) and because of the banter behind the goal and the loyalty of our supporters. If supporters are threatening to leave because of the potential signing of one player (and understandably so in my opinion) then clubs at our level where they are dependent on the loyalty of the 100 or so season ticket holders and die hards should listen. End of story.

I am more than happy to make a weekly contribution to the wage budget if it means we can sign an alternative.

Hardly sounds like the result of banter now does it Chris? Occasionally you need to pull your head out from the club's [****!!****] and have a look around. Jamie Jarvis has had a string of disciplinary issues in the past - a twelve game ban was it? Twatting Hodges round the face in the re-arranged game in front of the very people (Roy and Eddie) who want to sign him? He will be a constant target of opposition players and fans because of his short temper, and I for one won't be contributing any more money to club if this happens. We are customers of the club, but if they want to keep treating us like second class citizens then fair enough, I've got better things to do with my time.

Liam I was talking in general....

so don't put words into my mouth...

----------------------------------------------

Of course the incident with Emma was a total disgrace and should have been sorted there and then...

---------------------------------------------

Was you aware of this incident ? at the time....I certainaly was not ...Its all come to light only now to me - I have tried to keep the peace and in my way try to sort the problems out..

You have your choice like everyone else....

Emma and Gary - I feel totally sorry for and I understand their feelings totally 100% and I hope the club understands the feelings of all on here and maybe something can be sorted one way or another...
