Rhodes
HTFCew - I'm glad it arrived, you'll have to put a good price on it as it's very much a collectors item bearing in mind the circumstances of the postponement, it wasn't exactly a waterlogged or frozen pitch. As for the corner poles they are a revolutionary new idea from China and every Club should have them, our Chairman has helped pioneer the venture and it is all part of our nine year plan to reach the Conference which was unfairly ridiculed yesterday by NeutralFan. Rhodes
Just curious to know whether all Club Secretaries religiously send a programme to Terry Gilmore after every home game with their Results Sheets, presumably in theory this would mean that Terry receives a programme from every single game played in the SSML throughout the season. AWK
The 61FC secretary sends him one of mine every game, apparently he keeps all the ones that are sent to him!!!!
HTFCew
Any fellow prog eds out there who hate it when the oppo send their whole squad list for the teamsheet? The worst I've had this year was 26 names, so I had to make the font really small to fit them all in, then come match day 6 players weren't even on the original list, and there wasn't room to add in the extras. I only ever send 16 names - there may be a few changes, but then at least there is room to make them.

AWK
What do you normally get sent by teams in the Premier/Division One. In Division 2 most send teamsheets (but not all), with only AFC Dunstable and Kent Athletic supplying histories. I wouldn't want a squad list as I prefer to have 1-11 with subs on the back which I think looks a lot better than just a list of names.
HTFCew
That's what I do as well (1-17, no 13). I prefer to have the teams on the back page as it makes it easier to find. What I get sent varies - always a history, plus sometimes penpics, badge or honours.

If you get past Berko on Tuesday, wait and see what you'll get from me! I believe our history alone takes up five pages in most programmes! Rhodes
Quote: HTFCew said: I prefer to have the teams on the back page as it makes it easier to find. I am of the opposite opinion, I purposely 'hide' the team page away so people are forced to go through the whole programme to find it, you are making their lives too easy for them and we owe it to our advertisers to do so. As I said before Potters Bar Town will be praying Berko beat you despite what he says, he won't want to face that lynching party when he arrives at Hertingfordbury Park, does Alfie plan to build a wooden dock if you do get through similar to the cowboy films with John Wayne, Glenn Ford and James Stewart. AWK
I always put the teamsheet on the back as well, The 61 though do insist on using a No.13 for some reason! I don't worry about adverts, there is only one and that's the league sponsors one. Colney sent me a four page history (well three and a half), which I condensed to two pages quite easily and I should have mentioned that AFC Dunstable also send their honours list. Rhodes
Manorborn - A straight forward comment as far as I was concerned. Didn't you used to watch those old cowboy films such as True Grit and the Big Country as there was usually a lynching involved. Perhaps someone will shoot through the rope and save Potters Bar Town if Hertford do beat Berko or maybe he just won't turn up at all on the night.
