Rhodes
Morning all, nice morning. I mentioned the another Forum on another thread with people far worse and anorakish (is that a word) than us lot if that's possible. Here is a link to a sample thread which I hope will work when you click on it: nlpl.co.uk/forum/gforum.cgi?post=10430#10430 Laters.
Football Man
Cliff, I go to the another site to view serious debate of non-league matters. What I find on this site (more so on the more established forums, rather than the SSML one just yet) is that subjects start seriously but eventually become hijacked by a number of complete numbskulls and threads start drifting off into weird directions. Of course, I'm not saying that your discussions with Paula are weird...
Rhodes
Er not sure whether this is an insult or not, I hope you're not suggesting that the lovely Paula and me are numbskulls. I agree that it can be a pain when threads start drifting off into weird and wonderful directions as you put it but that can't be helped at times as subjects can be very wide ranging and we are not professionals at this sort of thing. another's Forum seems like it's for the real die hard football anorak and threads seem to very rarely, if at all, deviate from the original subject heading. I hope for your sake that Paula doesn't see you comment when she's in shortly, I'll keep quiet but she's nobody's fool.
Football Man
Don't worry, Cliff. The comment was aimed at the morons that frequent some of the other forums on here. Luckily, they haven't infiltrated this one yet.

Rhodes
You tell him girl, I didn't know you were already aquainted. I see that you take the bucket round at Canvey home games by the way, Kevin was looking for a bucket earlier on today following a disgusting comment from someone on here, no names mentioned. Manorborn100
Aylesbury Vale should have a pretty smart ground this season with the amount of work Aylesbury Utd (or is it now AFC Aylesbury I lose track of these things) have done to bring it up to Southern League standards. Be warned Hertford, parking is crap so get there early or park way away from the ground. Most other SSML clubs shouldn't have too much of a problem. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Horace
One of the reasons for the parking problem is that we actually get a crowd!
GRS67
Anyone for water polo? thats a pretty amazing picture. I think thats even more water on the pitch then Carlise had a season or so ago.
Rhodes
Also reminds me of a game last season at Haringey Borough against Leverstock Green when there was an interval downpour of biblical proportions that flooded the hallowed Coles Park turf in 30 seconds flat, I had never seen anything like it and the game obviously had to be abandoned, I've got a picture which I will try to post on here. I gather Hendon's drainage is half decent so hopefully we won't have that many games called off this season.
