I believe either an improvement to the water main, to enable it to push the water through at a greater pressure (Which would allow for a better sprinkler system). Or a water tank reservoir built on a platform.

There are several solutions, all of which cost money; but Arky is correct the problem is the water supply to inside the ground is the same as domestic, and until that is upgraded we are in the lap of the gods, and those who go and move the ONE sprinkler we have.

If forecasts are anything to go by.It seems like we will be having a lot of very hot,dry summers in the coming years.So the situation will only get worse.Obviously we have to consider how long we realisticaly think we will be at Brimsdown for in the future,and is it worth upgrading THEIR water supply (if funds became available).I would prefure some removable or portable tank,so we could move it with us, to any future new ground.
