Rhodes
That should be interesting although according to the Non League newspaper yesterday Berko could be the team to watch this season after linking up with the University of Bedfordshire's division of sport and excercise science. Berko will use the University's high tech equipment and call on sports specialists in a bid to improve their players conditioning, strength and speed. Alfie - Perhaps I should let 'your mate' Potters Bar Town answer your question about Kentish Town's attendances, we groundshared at his place last season but I wasn't with the Club then, we are expecting some decent crowds at Hendon this season, being the Man Utd of division 1, particularly midweek with a lot of people on here such as Gavin coming to watch us. Football Man
From recollection, most home crowds for Kentish Town last season were between 10 & 30. We were told at the start of the season that there would be plenty of Kentish Town supporters coming to each game and our clubhouse and bar would be very busy for each game but that never materialised. Er thanks for that Potters Bar Town, I wish I hadn't asked you to comment, if however you were away with the Potters Bar first team at the time how would you know how many Kentish Town supporters were at Parkfield for our home games. No Horace I am no deluding myself at all, I'm sure we will be knocked over in the rush playing at 'historic' Claremont Road this season which is far more 'our patch' than having to struggle up to, out of the way, Potters Bar for home games. GRS67
Rhodes this thread is now the longest, even though half the messages are not actually about or have anyting to do with Kentish Town fc. If someone who had never been on this forum before came across it, they would indeed think that Kentish Town is a very improtant side lol.

Two reasons. Firstly, the publicised attendances in the SSML Bulletin (some of which were single figures for Kentish Town games) and, secondly, the lack of post-match bar takings. Rhodes
Potters Bar Town - I'm a little disappointed you are raking all this up now, I gather you did quite well out of the groundshare arrangement with Kentish Town last season and were paid up front as opposed to an each game basis as was the case at Haringey Borough the previous season. I also understand that on a number of occasions the bar was quite busy, for example when Colney Heath came down and Coddicott in a Herts cup match, because you frowned upon us entering many of the cup competitions open to us whilst we were at Parkfield, just incase we were drawn 'at home', we were constantly working with one arm tied behind our backs. That said, don't get me wrong, we were still grateful to you for allowing us to play there albeit for the one season and not two as was previously agreed in principle. Firstly, I did not "rake all this up now". I was responding to your comment that I was best placed to answer the question of Kentish Town attendances at our ground last season. Secondly, as I have said before, you have still only heard one side of the story. Decisions were made at the start of the groundshare agreement which were made clear to all concerned. Any decisions taken then or afterwards were made for good reason. You may wish to remind Gregg that he hasn't responded to my e-mail yet.
Rhodes
Potters Bar Town - Okay well it's all water under the bridge now anyway, I'll mention to Gregg that you're still waiting to hear from him but he's a busy man as you know, ducking and diving and closing high profile business deals left right and centre. I see the hits/views on this thread are now up to an astonishing 1118 so Kentish Town must be doing something right to warrant such huge interest. Gavin pointed out earlier that half the messages on here are not actually about Kentish Town which I think he'll find is inaccurate if he counts them up however posts and views are two entirely different things anyway and there is clearly a lot of interest out there in this particular thread, with it always being kept active, in comparison to all the others, how would you explain that. Football Man
Why don't you ask Ian to set up a Kentish Town forum? That way, you'll be able to separate the hits for Kentish Town from those for the SSML generally.
Rhodes
Potters Bar Town - Strange you should say that as I was considering it, there is also now a seperate Club Forum on our recently re-launched all singing all dancing Website, why not check it out www.kentishtownfc.co.uk

Horace
"Our sub-conscious mind is very powerful we create our motivation from here and change old behviours that say "I cant do this" or "I can do that", "Im tired", "Do we have the do another lap?. NeutralFan
Profound words from the KTFC (Still makes me feel hungry everytime I see those letters!) forum... Pressure is something all players and managers at this club must be ready to manage within themselves. This will enable us to be where we want to be in the non league football world. We set goals at the start of the season, we ensure with have the people with the application and the motivation to ensure those goals are achieved. The players must have high expectations of themselves and ensure they can deal with the pressure and the correct motivation to achieve "on a sunny day" or "a dark windy rainy night in Bedfordshire". Our sub-conscious mind is very powerful we create our motivation from here and change old behviours that say "I cant do this" or "I can do that", "Im tired", "Do we have the do another lap?. I for one am bringing motivation to the table im sure all others will too. The Rock

Rhodes
NeutralFan - I'm going to get you to put all my pics up for me as you seem a dab hand, I've been trying to do what you just did for a month. Don't mock, Kentish Town are very much a Club going places and our players have been fully briefed in no uncertain terms as to our expectations, these are good honest players who, we are confident, can get us out of Division 1 this season and compete with the SSML Premier 'elite' such as Haringey Borough next term. I am quite impressed by your statement NeutralFan, you seem to know what you're talking about although not so sure about the feeling hungry bit, I prefer Burger King myself. Rhodes
Folks - It's official, this thread now has the more views/hits on the SSML Forum than any other, amazing don't you think for a small in-significant Division 1 Club like Kentish Town without their own ground and with somewhat of a 'no-one likes us we don't care' reputation, at least where Potters Bar Town and Haringey Borough are concerned.
