NeutralFan
Bedford favourites... ? Brimsdown are the ones to watch not Beford! I suspect Hoddesdon won't be too far behind either. Good result though
Football Man
I think you are favourites if your next match is against Kentish Town. That way, if they win or draw, it's a great result against the "favourites". If they lose...ready made excuse.
Horace
.. but you need to check carefully where it's due to be played!

phoinex
I agree with NF,Brimsdown Rovers,Hoddesdon are favourites along with Bedford, but you can't rule out Stony Stratford or Ampthill who have both showed early season form.Stony have goal machine Kevin Hyde in their side, good player last season with New Bradwell St Peter, hence why they are struggling this season, will do well at this level. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />BE LUCKY
Rhodes
Nobody seems to be including us in their list of favourites which surprises me slightly. Yes I was surprised by New Bradwell St Peter's early season form this season so that must explain it, we have them at home on Saturday so hopefully that will be another three points to put us top or second as Brimsdown aren't playing and Ampthill are at home to Stony Stratford. NeutralFan
I made my judgement on the teams I have info about. I think Hoddesdon have secured the services of a top front man and keeper and Brimsdown have a number of ex-Redgridge players I beleive. I haven't included your mob Rhodes as I thought they were very poor when I watched them against Hertford pre season.. that might have been misleading but we'll see. If Hyde is at SS then they will be scoring goals, played against him numerous times and he is a top front man at that level.
Rhodes
I have just noticed the number of views on this thread, up to an incredible 2235! NeutralFan - I disagree that we were poor at your place in that friendly, considering you went 2-0 up after only eight minutes we can't have done that badly to come away with a narrow 2-1 defeat in the end and there was the little matter of the now legendary goal we scored too which I hesitate to mention incase I re-open some old wounds. Horace
Perhaps the fact that we started without 4 unavailable first choice players then made 10 further changes in the second half might have had something to do with our overall performance against you? Oh .. and without that fluke goal you wouldn't have scored at all!
NeutralFan
The narrow 2-1 defeat was still no reflection on the game as a whole. The two goals down in 8 minutes could easily have been 5 in 25 and as Horace indicated you were lucky HTFCOne was in goal as it's not the first time he's been beaten by an overhead kick from 20 'ish yards! (Chertsy last season!)

Rhodes
Folks - This thread seems to have strayed away from the subject matter of Kentish Town Football Club so just to let you all know that we are at home to New Bradwell St Peter this afternoon in a SSML Division 1 encounter at Hendon FC. Anyone who fancies coming down can get in free if they mention my name on the gate and get a free programme, can't say fairer than that can I and you may well witness us going top of the league this evening.
