Guest
The mighty Kingsbury Town London Tigers United Athletic FC will be the unknown quantity. Especially to those who follow them
HTFCew
Thanks Ian. Hopefully Horace will advertise it on the new league website which he has set up.
Guest
I think Harefield and WGC could do well. The old Ryman league boys will all fancy their chances but time will tell. I think it could be a very close league this year though

It's possible but unlikley Quote: Can't you come up with a longer name? It's not the length of the name I am bothered about. The name Kingsbury London Tigers suggests the club may have thaken up speedway for next season! (yes many will say they may be better suited to it)
Rhodes
How come Kingsbury are so badly supported, they have quite a nice ground in a strong catchment area, it doesn't make any sense. Went there last season in the FA Vase when they beat Haringey Borough 2-0 and it was one man and his dog for what was an excellent game of football. Perhaps there are too many Club's in that particular area of North London such as Kingsbury, Edgware, Hendon and Barnet and Kingsbury always draw the short straw on a Saturday afternoon. RH1
I have never liked Kingsbury or the ground. Whenever I have played their the games have been very scrappy and its always gives off a negative feel. Definately not one of my favourite clubs, not much better then Clapton!
neutralbob
from the standard i have seen of the london tigers, they could struggle big time!
KTFCSC
Correct me if i'm wrong but i dont think it is any coincidence that the worst supported teams in the old IL2 were the 'inner London' clubs - us, Edware, Wembley and Clapton The merger with the Tigers is supposed to address the issue of poor attendance but I'm not holding my breath. Would I be out of place saying that i think I speak for all former IL2 supporters when I say thank **** we dont have to go to Clapton this season

A good ground? are you sure Rhodes???? Silver Jubilee is dump, Car Batteries/ bottles, etc strewn across the overgrown grass banks. The ground has fallen into a worse state in the past few seasons, maybe the merger with the london tigers will bring it back up to standard. If you see the Kingsbury site, on the front page is a pic of a great shiny stnad with red seats behind a goal, this is NOT Kingsburys ground and the fact they use someone elses ground on thier site as a pic shows what a joke they are. I live within walking distance of the ground, but I would not go there as a neutral. They played crap football last season but still managed to beat us 1-0 both times. Hopefully the merger will bring a change to them but I dobut it.
GRS67
As for crowds, Edgware struggle to get over 50 for home games last season. Hendon rarely get over 200 in the prem unless big away support. Wingate ave 50+ in the southern last season. Barnet strugle to get more then 2000. Bottom line, its all arsenal and spurs, and plastic mancs/ and plastic scousers round this way. I'll have you know that Silver Jubilee Park is described as surprisingly rural in the book Football Grounds of London! You're spot on with the point about poor crowds. If you want to go and watch football Kingsbury etc is no more than about 30mins away by public transport from Arsenal/Totenham/QPR/Watford and not much more for the other London league clubs. Rhodes
Went to Clapton in the FA Vase 1st Round last season when I was with Haringey and didn't think it was as bad as everyone is making out, okay the Committee weren't overly friendly but they put on some decent sarnies afterwards. Their Old Spotted Dog ground has sadly fallen into a sorry state of disrepair but nothing that a bit of funding or sponsorship couldn't put right, Clapton typify many Club's at our level with little or no money whilst the Premiership rich get richer.
