Southport FC Stats 7 Oct Home v St Albans Kick Off. SOUTHPORT 1 ST ALBANS 1-It was a case of after the Lord Mayor's show. Expectations were high after the great draw at Oxford but it all fell very flat. St Albans scored first and missed a pen before we started to show any signs of urgency and Tony Gray scored despite looking a yard off side to give us a share of the points. We very nearly snatched a victory in the closing stages when Hooly forced a great save out of the keeper and Blake's hit the post but it was two more points dropped. We stay in 22nd which in effect is 23rd because of the Crawley situation. The gate of 1005 included 47 St Albans fans that I counted.
