Sounds like it took the form of a kickabout in the Park then, rather than a proper PSF. I trust punters were still charged a tenner though...

Two of the Luton Yoof were the linos, did a reasonably good job too. Which is more than I can say for the newly appointed bar manager and his staff.

Nah, the Yoof were there just to watch, the first team played.

 

Don the Dog seemed to think two 16-year old barmaids would be sufficient to serve 500 thirsty punters. May have been OK if a) they had a clue what they were doing, the chiller hadn't broken down, c) the dishwasher also. I didn't dare go up there at half-time, bedlam I was told.

They've got a 22-man first team squad? That's a bit luxurious, isn't it? Especially for little ol' us.

 

So what was the score then? Anything interesting happen? 500 thirsty punters, sounds like a big attendance...

I was suprised to see coverage of the game on Sky Sport News this morning. They showed 3 of the goals and interviewed the Luton press officer who stepped in and refereed the game. Top banana! Clarence Park on telly!!! :-)

PS the bar was fine at HT. We got a drink and a seat no probs. It wasn't really that busy, maybe the experience before KO made people think twice about risking it at HT?

You're joking Zags!! It was five deep at the bar at one stage. Then one of the girls decided to stop serving to run and get change. Madness I tell you.

Not as sticky as the floor. They did have a selection of filled rolls for sale though, along with slices of very suspect 'Gala Pie'.

Preferably something decent (Addlestones, Westons), but if not then please Scrumpy Jack and not that Strongbow piss.

They've moved the portable bar thingie (big lump of wood) that was under the TV at the end of the room (near the bogs), further up the room towards the bar. Not sure why really. Apart from that nothing's changed - i think!?

There's a new sort of leaning area by the notice board, and two tables appear to have been taken out.

 

As for the match, from what I saw Theobald had a decent game, lewis was superb, Seeby was a bit erratic, Marcelle Nugent looked useful, Hakim and Sozzo were lively up front, Hanny as fast and tricky as ever. Davis also had a good game but Marwa was a bit quiet.

 

Will be different with Clarkey and Bazza back, and I would have liked to have seen Wilde in action too.
