I wonder where Graham Porter is training.

 

Left Gravesend to recover from injury.

Needs to train with someone,and prove himself fit.

 

Probably never going to make it back to conference now, but a solid experienced defender if fit to back up RT and JD(aswell as somone else with pace).

Played with most of the team anyway.

As need to prove himself fit, he might be considering non contract /'pay as you play' terms with someone.

im sure i read a report some time back where he said he is finished and will not be returning. tho i could well be wrong.

To be honest we need a defender with real pace who can get back and sweep all the loose stuff. Mr. Tony Dixon during his Dover days type of player. Warren Ryan springs to mind and fits the bill???????????

In the Times it says Robin is talking to a center back, and that there is only this one that he is interested in

[color:"blue"]Porter was rather pedestrian .. so even if he was fit he wouldn't be much of an improvement over Trott & Donovan. Warren was the best defender we saw last season, but didn't he leave because he wanted to play for an Essex based Club? I don't think he'd return unless we were in a higher division than the one in which he's playing.

Combining this thread with another, it'd be good if Bertie were to sign elsewhere ... his must be one of our highest wages.

My thought on Porter was simply as emergency experienced cover if anything were to happen to our two(hopefully three) first pick centre backs.

 

It is a key specialist position ,and i really do fear that injuries/suspensions could make this our archilles heel unless we have contingency plans
