Gary Henty

Recommended Posts

We talk about Warren Ryan, Lee Hodges, Dave Collins, Jamie Dormer, Nathan Elder, Tom Poole et al but what about Gary Henty...

Now here is something of a rarity...I've just looked on the "Unofficial" BTFC web site and noticed under the Players Apperances stats that Gary Henty is just a mere 33 games off his 300 appearance for Billericay Town FC.

This diminutive, tenacious, versatile, hard working player, who is still in his early 20's, has shown loyalty towards the club through some pretty tough times and also some pretty good ones (the past couple of seasons have been quite good Gary, injuries apart). That kind of loyalty requires some applause

So, he's in with a chance, to reach the 300 mark this season (have I murray'd it?).

Here is a question for all of us. Who was the last player to serve an unbroken spell of up to and over 300 games for Billericay Town FC? And no, I don't know the answer....I'm asking.

Chrissy Moore 'me lord' did indeed top the 300 mark but in two spells.

Back to Gary Henty, something of an unsung legend. Great versatility as a player hence an important member of the squad. Just hope he stays injury free.

An unsung legend eh...well it's time to get those voices ready for the big 300 celebration.
