Poor Lauren.

A few weeks back, when the news of 'odgies leaving came to my ears, I went around my Sisters and told Lauren he was leaving. "Oh Great!" she says, I say calm down, I know he was your favourite. "It's not that" she says. She then tells me to watch, and then calls her little brother Ben (16 Months)into the room. She says to him "Football" Instantly he jumps into the air,arms stretched out high above his head, "HODGIE!!" he shouts. "I've been teaching him that all summer!" Laughing I tell her just change the name to your next fave, she is still peeved, but admits that is the best idea.

A week later I pop in and tell her that Harris has left as well. Without responding, she calls for her brother Ben in a quite dejected voice. He walks in, Lauren says "Football". Ben leaps up, arms in the air, and shouts "Chopper!!". She said she was giving up, and that Ben is a jinx. I tell her to pick a pro footballer who is in worldcup.

Now I am not saying Ben or Lauren is a jinx, but, by the second Game, anybody mentioned footabll, "OWEN!!" could be heard bellowing from his little Gob.

 

 

Why didn't she teach him Lampard!!
