Good luck Town.

Town 1 v 3 Spurs

Should be a good game and should bring a few quid in for the club.

Att: 725

I will be amazed if the attendance exceeds 600 really. If the Gazette do a good job promoting it then Chopper's guess may be close. I think there will be around 560 there with a 2-4 win for Spurs.

I'm sure we'll see lots of Spurs shirts getting an airing from fans who only ever get to see a Spurs game from the comfort of an Enfield Town pub!

Yes it would help boost the crowd if Spurs advertized the game, BUT why don't the Town advertize it more.

Why is there no mention on either BBC or ITV teletext pages, where plenty of non league friendly games are posted in the fixtures.

Town need to get a bit more "street wise".

Spurs are away at Nice on friday so make sure it is noted as a Spurs XI as it will be youth and a few reserves.

Come on Town Directors....wake up, if you want to cash in. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Just had a look on the Spurs Website and our Game with them this Friday is advertised on their website along with all their other pre-season games. We are their first "Spurs X1" fixture.

Happy now?

Yes, 'see you all there'. I agree with you enfield_paul, the Barnet game is far more interesting and will be more of a test.

Let's all wear Town gear and official merchandise from Arky to remind the 'Immitation Spurs fans' that there is a real team on their own doorstep that they could truely support - In person, at Brimmo and not while propping up the bar in the Hop Poles.

Can't wait....This has been just too long without football!

What a bit like St Albans losing their match officals, cos they wanted to use 4000 subs?
lol

Funny thing was, I saw the same referee in charge of the Histon v Cambridge United game on Tuesday and he was more than happy to let Cambridge change the whole side at half time. Don't know why he changed his mind 24 hours later!

See you all tonight, Towners.

FIFA Laws of the Game 2005 say:
In national A team matches, up to a maximum of six substitutes may be used.

In all other matches, a greater number of substitutes may be used provided that:
- the teams concerned reach agreement on a maximum number;
- the referee is informed before the match.

If the referee is not informed, or if no agreement is reached before the match, no more than six substitutes are allowed.

So perhaps that was the reason.

You're right there PBTFC. Apparently the ref's going to get a massive slating in the NLP on Sunday. The stand in ref should be applauded in the same piece. He had a great game at Clarence Park.
