Have to say last night restored my faith in the beautiful game, The Germans so organised and the Italians technically brilliant what a fantastic semi final probably one of the best ever.

For me although I can't stand him I thought Lehman was immense and Poldoski and klose ran there nuts off for the team,Ballack I thought was a little quiet last night due to the way Italy played.

The Italian team had some big performances,the full backs Grosso and Zambrotta got forward at every opportunity,Gattuso smashed anything that moved,Totti played some lovely one touch passes and Pirlo was just magical.I don't think I have ever seen a game where so many two yard passes caused so much damage.

But for me Cannavaro was the best player on the pitch by a mile what a Captains performance in such an important game.

Great game. Best team won. Germans gave it their all but they just were not good enough. 2 great goals. No hounding of the ref. Still a little too much face clutching though. I hope Italy win it. Man of the match for me was the little guy (Perlio?) He pulled the strings for the Italians.

I think tactically Lippi done a very good job on the Germans. The germans have played quite a high pressing back game with full back getting on and the Italians stuffed that up by excellent wing play and clipping it early from centre mid over the German back four! Think the Germans were lucky to get all the offside decisions they did.

Agree with Cannavaro Malds what summed it up for me was in the last min of extra time he ran 20 yards to get onto he's own clearance! I said Italy would win it from the start and still think that now!

Only saw the highlights as had pre-season. Don't think the highlights did the game justice from what I heard

NoClub, me and you were the only ones in the top 11 to put Italy down for a win on the prediction league. I bl**dy had 1-0 so gutted the they scored the second!!
