Although some preliminary work has been done, the fixtures cannot be compiled in their entirety until the Ryman fixtures are to hand. These are expected to be released on or around 14 July. Ours will be released as soon as possible after that, hopefully no later than w/c 23 July and maybe earlier.

 

A decision was taken earlier that the Premier Division would commence on Sat 12 August and Division One on Sat 19 August. However, in view of the higher number of clubs in Div 1 than last season, it may now be sensible for clubs in Div 1 to also commence on 12 August.

 

I am aware that some clubs in Div 1 may now have arranged friendlies for Sat 12 August so It will not be compulsory but if any Div 1 Clubs do wish to start on Sat 12 August, please advise me on or before 8 July when every effort will be made to match you up. If I do not hear from you I will assume that you do not wish to start until 19 August.

 

There will be a full Premier Division programme on 12 August.

 

Every effort will be made to complete the Premier Division schedule on Sat 28 April 2007 but fixtures in Div One may extend into early May.

 

There will be fixtures on Sat 23 and 30 December but not on New Year's Day (unless any are requested). New clubs to the League may wish to note that Bank Holiday matches (other than on Saturdays) are always scheduled to kick off at 11.30 a.m. although this can be varied by mutual agreement.

 

In accordance with league rules, kick-off time for evening matches where there are floodlights available is 7.45 p.m. unless clubs have given notice that they wish to start their home evening matches at 7.30 p.m.

 

The clubs I currently have down for 7.30 p.m. kick-offs are: Ash United, Banstead Athletic, Bedfont, Chipstead, Epsom & Ewell and Westfield. If there are any others, please advise me asap.

 

Apart from the possibility of having to use Thursdays towards the end of the season, all midweek matches will be scheduled for Tuesday evenings, with the exception of the following clubs, who play on an alternative evening.

 

These are: Bedfont Green, Colliers Wood United, Feltham, Guildford City (all Wednesdays) and Crescent Rovers (Thursdays). Please notify me asap if there are any changes to this list

 

The draw for the opening rounds of the E1 Records Premier Challenge Cup (the main league cup with all clubs in) and possibly other of the League's cup competitions will be made on Friday 7 July at around 2.30 p.m. at Ashford Town (Mx) FC. The draw will be made by Mr. John Bennett (Chairman) and Tony Ford (Asst Sec & Asst Refs Sec).

 

If anyone wishes to witness it, they will be very welcome.

 

The proposed constitution of the Reserve Divisions is as follows:

 

Premier Reserve Division: Ash United, Bedfont Green, Chessington & Hook, Cobham, Colliers Wood United, Cove, Farnham Town, Frimley Green, Guildford City, Hartley Wintney, Westfield (11 teams)

 

Division One Reserve: Bookham, CB Hounslow, Chobham, Coney Hall, Crescent Rovers, Farleigh Rovers, Hanworth Villa, Merrow, Sheerwater, Staines Lammas, Tongham, Warlingham, Worcester Park (13 teams)

 

Entry into the Reserve Challenge Shield is included within your annual subscription so it will be assumed that all eligible reserve teams within the League wish to enter the competition. It remains voluntary though, so if anyone wishes to opt out, please advise me by 14 July. The groupings for the Preliminary rounds of the Shield are likely to be enlarged this season to allow for additional football for reserve teams.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure that we've got friendlies arranged for Sat 12 Aug and Tues 15th!
