The Town Crier
OK. this is our current Squad. But in addition to these thoroughbreds, we are currently looking at another 5/6 players. Their positions are wide midfield and Centre Forward. We're also in the market for a second Goalkeeper Dave Collins Jamie Dormer Nathan Elder Joe Flack Matt Game Steve Heffer Gary Henty Lee Hodges Leon Hunter Danny Kerrigan George Lay Billy McMahon Dave McSweeny Tom Poole Warren Ryan John Simmons Rob Swaine

jl
Be interesting to see what the preferred centre-half pairing is, as that doesn't appear to be obvious. Agree we need another forward and it is a shame that Dale has gone. He's a decent keeper but maybe he feels he needs more games? Ironic that our historic weakness in midfield now appears to be our strength and I'm sure we'll reap the benefits of a largely settled squad. Looking fwd to it already..... GazzaBTFC
At last....a football thread. It looks a very settled squad with a good work ethic and a strong "team" ethic will be very hard to beat next season. I think it's a shame Dale has gone but he is a good, young keeper who needs games. I can't wait for the new season to start....
The Town Crier
Not even our Manager knows the answer to your Dale Brightly question Golden Boots. JL, at this early stage, and after watching a few training sessions, there would be no question as to the centre-half pairing....but things can change so quickly. Matt will pick on merit, so all the positions are up for grabs, and they are being keenly contested.

I knew it! The centre half pairing will be Elder and Hodges. Cannot believe it has taken this long for it to happen!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Bub
Its looking nowhere near the strength of Chelmsfords. Gazza, you still up for that £500 wager on whoever finishes higher for charity or will you not back your squad????
GazzaBTFC
I said to you Bub, if I had the cash, I would...but then again, Bertie Big Bub, you're as deaf as you are blind. Or is that stupid....?

Keith.P
Bub, anyone with disposable cash can afford to make a largish bet. You obviously have 500 smackers readily available. So, why don’t you just go and give it to charity now? You make yourself look silly coming on here offering out people in the cash war.

Bub
One person has £500 and the other doesn't. Which one do you think is the stupid one in life? I got an update last week on the amount of the debt the club are in. Not looking good mate. Do you know how much it is?

Elliott
Put it this way £500 is'nt going to help out - that barely covers the daily interest rate so im led to believe. I can see some very nice houses being built on New Lodge.
