They are just jealous because they failed as footballers. They are just bullies and try to punish those with true football talent. Whether it be on the pitch with yellow cards or verbally!

Those Refs think footballers have no feelings.

When was the last time you heard a ref call a player a Kent.

Think you may have it the wrong way round !

It is the young refs that are the most arrogant which I agree is the same with the players. THe older Refs and players know how the game is played and get on with it. I must admit I do rate Krooner as a good ref

I think it is sometimes not arrogance but their attempt to look confident. Some young Refs are just not ready to control mens matches due to their immaturity. They try and cover this up and that can come across as arrogance. Also the pressure on them to progress is huge.

To be honest I don't play football and being a typical woman I don't really know about football like you men. I know about off-side though!

I hope you didn't take offence Krooner I only meant it as banter.

Extremly well stated. I agree. It is the kids that can't drive and have their dads on the sidelines watching them. SO what is the solution? Bring more ex players in as refs?

It would be great to bring ex players in as reafs. Why do you think they do not do it. Anything to do with the amount of [****!!****] refs do take.

There was a ref that was highly thought of and reffed at Conference level. He received an enormous amount of abuse one Saturday. He then did a game on the Tuesday and was harranged from the 1st minute. At half time he got changed left the ground and has never done another game. So that was 1 highly thought of ref who left. To replace him they promote from below so get someone who is not so good. Dominoe effect.
