People are suggesting songs like 'No Tomorrow' by Orson and stuff like that. They are missing the point. That song is about a bloke taking his hot girlfriend out all night and then sha*ging her. How has that got anything to do with the atmosphere we want to create just before the teams play the game?

 

I personally hate them now but I want the Guns N' Roses song because it says everything in the title and the lyrics that the opposition are gonna have a rough time and are gonna have to fight in the jungle of Park Lane with the animals on the terraces growling at them and still try to win. That to me sounds itimidating.

personally chalky i think thats a great atmosphere to be creating we may get more women over although part of the ground would have to become over 18's only lololol

Just saw them at Download festival and their own fans booed them with Where the fu*k is Slash and 'Fake band'. They kept on fuc*ing around saying they had 'Technical Difficuties'. Then they would play random guitar riffs that sounded like porn music. Then when Axel was off having a strop, the band played 'Beautiful' by Christina Aguilera and to top it all off, a well known tradition of throwing a bottle of urine on stage that happened to everyone and was just laughed off was met with this response by the guitarist...

 

'If another bottle of urine comes anywhere near me, i'm leaving the stage and i'm not coming back. I dont appreciate it. That was met by a chant from right in front of him...

It was the funniest most embarressing spectacle i have ever seen!

I must admit, I like Velvet Revolver a lot more. I thought they were one of the highlights of Live 8.

Having read through this thread and the other one countless times, what I would do now is take every song mentioned and create a playlist for pre-match build-up.

 

Also, seeing as we could still be on this topic by Christmas, I would ask only the players to nominate the song they want to run out to and then draw up a shortlist for them to vote on. The opinion of 20 players is going to be easier to wittle down rather than that of a couple of hundred fans!

 

That way, all the fans on here get to hear their track played on matchdays and the players get the track they want to hear most played as they enter the pitch!

great idea can we end the poll. the rest of the songs will be used in pre-match build up for pre-season.
