Pace is overrated if you have timing and an ability to read the game

Which I have.. BUT I still don't think you can beat pure out and out pace. Doesn't matter how well you read a game at some point you will be invloved in an out and out foot race.

Look at Aaron Lennon, can't cross, can't head, can't tackle.. playing for England because of his (effective) use of pace

. pace is the key one!!)

Who's pace?

Are you saying that if they are faster than you, you may take them out? What are your limitations?

I am saying if they are significantly faster than me I will definately be 'tapping' the backs of their ankles and calves!!

Got the pace to cover you! I was midfield in that game and got moved back as no one else could win a header and were getting roasted all over the place... by the other guy! He He

Remember watching Camberley play Wingate at Krooner Park. Wingate had Barry Silkman, ex Man City, playing. He was about 40. He never moved from the centre circle but when he got the ball he had oodles of time on it and every pass made went to the feet of the intended recipient. Class. Is that you oners ?
