So Rooney has got until Thursday to explain himself to FIFA. Hang on he got a red card. Surely FIFA will ban him on that. Figo headbutts someone and doesn't have to explain that. Argentina and Germany have a bloody great fight and no-one gives a [****!!****].

i think fifa have took the easy way out again

the ref sent him off for pushing and after the game found out that he actually stamped(or fell)on the blokes nuts and is now saying this is why he sent him off

just seems a bit strange that the ref only reacted after rooney pushed ronaldo away

what about henry,he took a blatent dive to get a free kick against spain but was still playing next match

no doubt that fifa favour france/brazil/portugal etc etc

especially after blatters comments

I think the refs have ruined what should have been a great world cup. FIFA should be ashamed.

 

And as for giving Rooney until Thursday to give a statement, what a load of bolox, pardon the pun.

the refs have been pretty shocking for the most part but that is not altogether their own fault

fifa said they wanted to stamp out playacting and cheating but that only applies if england are not involved

Shallow words. It is time to get hard. The FA should watch every game next season in retrospect. Any player seen to be cheating is charged with bringing the game into disrepute. Punishment is a 3 game ban plus 3 points deducted from their team. That will soon stop it. Bet the clubs will go for it !

I don't particularly like C. Ronaldo but he was targeted and taken out by a Holland player and that is the sort of thing that should be stamped out.

If you are as good a player as you think you are there is no need to 'target' other players! Just my opinion!
