St Alban for patron saint?

I see some clerical group is campaigning for St Alban to replace St George as patron saint of England.

 

George was a legendary Turk who probably didn't even exist, while Alban, OK a roman soldier, at least lived in England.

 

We'll all be driving around with blue and yellow flags on our cars by Euro 2008. The Union Jack is going to look a bit odd though. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I believe that this was also brought up in the house of commons in recent years.

 

I presuming by Kerry Pollard as Anne Main didn't even know where the place was until she surprisingly won her seat!
