Still gutted but thought that was our best performance of tournament.

 

Robinson - Did what he had to do during game, although still doesnt fill me with confidence, or his back 4 by the look of it.

 

Neville - Steady, kept Ronaldo quiet and got foprward well.

 

Cole - Another great game for what must be the best left back in the world right now. Personally thought he would have had a pen.

 

Terry - Best game of the tournament, for the 1st time him and Rio looked solid together.

 

Ferdinand - As above, made some good tackles and occasionally brought the ball out well, should do this more.

 

Hargreaves - Sun Star Man - Hopefully has proved the country wrong. The boy can play, and worked his nuts off. Should now command a regular place in side.

 

Beckham - Ok till injured, would play inside at the minute, doesnt have the pace or skill to go by players, let him dictate game in middle.

 

Gerard - In my opinion best player in England, unfortunately Sven cannot get the best from him. Did well yesterday.

 

Lampard - Poor tournament, seemed slow in possession, not confident in front of goal, and how he lasted this long in side on those performances is a mystery.

 

Joe Cole - Good tournament, struggled to get in game yesterday and was subbed after sending off, personally would have kept him on and sacrificed Lampard.

 

Rooney - Not a lone striker, worked hard and was harshly sent off. Would have loved to have seen him alongside Crouch.

 

Lennon - Lively, goes at people and hopefully will get a proper chance to shine now. Impressed me greatly.

 

Crouch - Great touch, too often does the hard work getting the ball down and then loses it with poor pass, too many touches etc. Think he too has proved a point to some.

 

Carragher - Showed bottle to come on take pen.

 

Sven - Still doesnt do it for me, the game seems to pass him by, some of his changes are still unusual and 90% defensive. The worrying thing for me is watching the games McClaren seemed to initiate most of the changes and this is what we have next.

What I saw you look right pb. Lets pick people that want to play and ditch the losers. Perhaps we should write off the Euro Champtionships and bring the kids on.
