England - Will we Wont we

Can we up the gears & take the Portugese today? Will Rooney be a "doubly" marked man? Will we get through? What score can you see? I'm going for a 2-1 victory & I think Lampard will at last put one in the net.

What do you think?

Were doing o.k. Not much to choose between the two sides. We have a problem on our right flank(nevilles side)at the back.Thats where they seem to be getting an advantage.Hargreaves doing a fine job in there. Star man at the moment.A draw looks nailed on at 90 minutes unless a little trickery or sheer brilliance comes about Obvious I know to say that but as it is a draw & into xtra time looks nailed on. No no Not penalties...pleeeeeease!

What is it with these penalties. Heroics all the way, against a poor side but we just cant score from penalties.

A great effort but again we let ourselves down near the finishing line.

AS for Ronaldo.I hope he never comes back to this country. Not because he scored the winning goal but because of his "winks" etc when Rooney" was sent off.

He's a "winker" most definately.

Rooney was in the wrong nevertheless & rightly deserved the red card. However, had the referee blown immediately before that for a foul on Rooney no-one would have been dismissed. No blame on the ref for the defeat but that was a error which proved costly to us.

Rooney was stupid to stamp on the guy, especially with the referee standing so close to the incident. That peeves me more because the original offence against Rooney wasnt given with the ref in the same vicinity.

Yeah, Rooney was guilty but isn't it typical in these games (also Beckham v Argentina in 98) how England get punished but the diving cheats (Figo on van Bommel against Holland for instance) usually get away with murder!

What on earth is Sepp Blatter doing having an Argentine referee officiating a major England World Cup game when he must have known that England and Argentina have a history behind them. Sepp Blatter and FIFA have ruined what has been a poor World Cup i hope he steps down after the World Cup.
