Content for the Millwall programme

I am starting to put the programme together for the Millwall game and am looking for a couple bits for it........

MISA - A review of what is going on in Misa at the moment including upcoming events and Social Club Hire

NOTICE BOARD - Any birthday's, anniversares etc for the week of the game and any from over the summer

ANYTHING ELSE! - Anything that anyone would like to do for the programme is welcomed, however I am not sure of the number of pages at the moment

I am going to try out a few ideas (that may or may not work in everyones eyes) in this and the other friendly programmes to see how they go down before the season starts so will still be open to suggestions!

I would like to see an interview with one of our unsung heroes-Ray-the groundsman.

Whats involved in his role, and what he has done over the summer to no doubt again produce one of ,if not- the best pitch- in the Ryman

Thats not a bad idea Michael but probably too short notice for the Millwall game. I am planning, in the proper programmes, to have a 'ten questions' feature where supporters can give questions for a specific member of Margate FC and the best ten will be used in a programme. This feature can be for players, members of the board, backroom staff etc etc and Ray would be a good person to use on that.

I think you should include an interview with one of our oldest and most dedicated supporters. Being that My Grandad Ron Hewett has more or less done it all over the years, kit manager, pre season cleaning up and painting of the ground including changing room, not to mention other jobs which sadly he cant do anymore. Not a day would have gone by when he wouldn't have been up here doing something. I reacon he would make interesting reading. Most of all Steve it would be a nice touch and I think those that have known him over the years would welcome it.

I second that! He has definately got lots of tales to tell, hope you have a spare day or two Steve!

I can help with the MISA bit if you like, or just ring the social club and tell you prices of the hall etc! Even a mention would be great- Dave MISA has listed the discounts that members will receive if they decide to join. Il be behind the bar along with membership forms if any are required!

As of yet they are not any events going on within MISA- apart from the very important lawn mower fund!!

Oh and did I forget to mention its my birthday on the day of the Millwall game!!

I will see if Ron would be happy to do the '10 questions', although this wont be until the season proper.

Frustratingly, no sooner had I got the programme to the printers than Hasim was transfer listed, the FA Cup and Trophy fixtures came out and Millwall sent an expected line-up - obviously all too late!!!

As mentioned in the programme, it is a bit of a trial of designs and features so if there is anything you particularly like/dislike or any fonts that you find hard to read please let me know.

Tomorrows programme is priced at £1 for 16 pages, which hopefully will represent good value.

Too far to travel to yesterday's game, however spoke to my Father who went. Without prompting he mentionned the programme and said it was better than any of last years.

So a good start to the year, both on and off the field!!!
