Rudi Hall

Recommended Posts

Apparently according to the back page of the Advertiser, report by Jonathan Clegg, Rudi Hall has left the club to join Worthing. As he lives on the South Coast at Portsmouth it will be better for him. Jim say's that supporters should not worry about the number of players leaving the club and is adamant that he will have a stronger squad. Any thoughts anyone?

Yes, check the club website. (20/06/2006)

Speaking in general terms, whenever a team is up near the top and completely rebuilds with a stronger team, the new, stronger team takes time to settle down, and then finishes according to their nominal strength in the second half of the season. This is not normally sufficient to finish right at the top. So, if this does happen, at least there are the play-offs.

Obviously, at this distance I cannot judge the Enfield Town squad for the coming season. These are merely thoughts about what I have seen in many clubs in the past.

One question, why the Philly Eagles?.

Seriously though, Rudi will be the hardest to replace, a good leader who can get 25 goals a season from midfield.
Hopefully Jim has got it in hand, we'll find out Friday week!.

What a player no matter what JIM says there is no way he will replace the players going out and i cant see him replacing rudi !!

how many players will score that many goals from midfield dont matter how they were scored they all count !!

i think jim neeeded to try harder to keep him and chopper !!

we will see hope we dont come unstuck

Arkwright, just seen what you said about the Eagles. My wife comes from Philadelphia, and for anyone who reads this I do not want any terse comments about Americans. We met via the internet and have been married for nearly six years. We have both been married before. As a lover of NFL it seemed right to support them. I also follow their Ice Hockey team, The Fliers and Basketball Team The 76ers.

Lets not forget that most of Rudi's goals came from the penalty spot,or from free kicks.

they still needed scoring and how many of these freekicks & penalties were matching wining?

rudi also set up a fair few goals over the years the number of short corners played to him on the edge of the box for him to whip it over for a simple header.

also his closing down and pressing opponents is what you need from a midfield man and his no nonsense tackling (which was on occasions a bit late) made him in my opinion a class all round midfield man.

Rudi will be a difficult player to replace, hopefully it wont be the last time we see him at brimmo.

I'm not sure why Rudi, Chopper, Geordie, Supa Kev, Bradley B etc had to leave, why can't we stick with the same team we had 5 years ago and change nothing, that will win trophies and entertain us on a saturday afternoon.......

I dont think saint would like that, playing at 75 now that would be some record.
