Although I am glad that Hamid has gone , it seemed we had to change our formation to accomodate him and this upset the teams balance, I must take issue with your comparison to Simon Parker.

He seemed to set the first goal up against us OK on Saturday , and was a great asset when he first joined us. It was only when a few got on his back that his confidence seemed to drain away. ( How many do we do this to !! )

I don't think its the last we have heard of Simon, if he devotes more time to footie once his studying is over, he certainly has the potential to play at a higher level.

If the opportunity came our way again, I would have Simon back in our squad.

Back from Nuneaton and finally back on-line - Its been ages...

well spotted Sammy about Hamid and the teams formation.

Todays formation and tactics went back to the pre - Hamid days and 3 points were bagged,I think thats a lesson we should learn for the rest of the season.

Superb commitment from all players, excellent use of balls down the channels, a great team spirit and a classic of a goal.

We could and should have won more comfortably today, if we had been more clinical in front of goal.

Mark Bentley was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch today, with an awesome display.

Well done to all the boys on the pitch, and those magnificent Fleet away fans.

Bring on Forest Green..

My memories cr*p, but I will think that you will find that Simon did hit the scoresheet for the Fleet.

Even in my drunken haze I seem to remember one against Enfield away last year, and I am sure there were a few more ?

I rated Simon as well - Maybe he did not fit out team pattern - But the guy will score goals at this level..

I think that Simon has scored 2 goals in 6 games for Kettering ( I dunno how many assists , but there was definately 1 against us) , and I would imagine after seeing Kettering last week, that 2 goals in 6 games is quite a high goals to chances ratio !!!

I think that Simon also had an equally good scoring record at Heybridge , as that of our new man 'Budgie'.

I hope that us fans all give 'Budgie ' more of a chance and certain sections don't get on his back as we did with Simon.

lets not forget it was only Simons studying commitments that lead to his departure, otherwise I am sure that Andy would have rightly perservered with him.
