[color:"blue"]The effect of the live commentary on attendances is a bit of a red-herring. After all this is not a broadcast product in the sense that it can be heard on radio airways (and can be accessed by random tuning), it is a web-based product which has to be sought out by the listener.

 

As such it's target audience is roughly the same as the number of people who regularly view on this forum - which I would guess would be around the 100-150 mark. As most of us are die-hards who attend as many home games as possible, the listeners must be mostly exiles, shift workers & away supporters - so we're not talking BBC radio size audiences, more a case of about a two or three dozen people anyway.

We should be getting 4 figures even without doing so well.With doing well we should be in the 1300-1500 bracket.Time & results will tell.Just have to wait & see how things turn out.

Again, i think expectations are a bit optimistic.

 

We will do well to average 700.

 

Hopefully we will get Wimbledon in an early fixture to help, but i suspect that unlike last year,with the glorious return to HDP, we may not get in excess of 1000 for the first two home games.

You can only 'return home' once, so need another special effort/publicity for the first home game of season.

 

Hopefully a winning team will bring in more consistent attendances and they will keep up during the gloomy months of Nov, feb and Jan.
