Great World Cup but ....

I am thoroughly enjoying this World Cup but find myself continually angry at the incompetence of all the officials who are doing their best to ruin it by stopping play and blowing for fouls when they players are obviously diving.

 

They are not giving penalties when they are blatent penalties aka the two that Graham Poll should have given and the two blatent hand balls by the Croation player.

 

Offsides and fouls the referees assistants are giving which aren't.

 

If these incompetent half-wits were to do there job properly this could be one of the best World Cups ever!

I find the number of yellow cards issued for such minor offences quite frustrating. Ruins otherwise good (and important) games when you see players sent off for second bookable offences even before half-time, as has happened on numerous occasions so far.

 

Otherwise, it's been a good World Cup so far, and I think the lack of real 'upsets' has helped, with most of the favourites having progressed to the knockout stages - more big games to look forward to, e.g the likes of Portugal-Holland and Germany-Argentina.

just seen the end of the italy australia match, a shocking decision at the end to award the penalty clearly a dive.

also the same with the game last night way to many cards for one game the ref was just trying to impress and failing miserably.

Yeah, but that was coming. The commentator was always saying how good Lucas Neil was - and he is a good player, but he dives in for everything and never stays on his feet.
