Ground Developments

Recommended Posts

If my sources are correct I believe conference sides have a year after being promoted into the football league to get their ground up to standard .

All associated with the funding going into league grounds .

Good news indeed and it brings a degree of reality to the ground grading business .

Hmmm the last paragraph is interesting, we will have to wait to if the conference does change it's rules, but until then I'm sticking to what the Conference said at the beginning of the season.

Don't forget this was why Margate had to get their planning permission or be thrown out!

What kind of modifications would need to be made to our ground in order for it to meet league requirments?

Not being funny but surely our stadium is quite a long way of league standard. Wouldn't the modifications cost a fortune?

Sounds a good job we updated our ground when we did - if the report is correct, ground improvements from now on will need to be all but self funded - how on earth would we have got our ground up to speed without the grant we got? And how much will we now need to arrange the work that needs to be done to get groiund up to standards that the Conference currently require??
