Tony Clayton

Just a short note to say that my dear old Dad Tony Clayton passed away last Saturday after a short illness in Brompton Hospital. He had been a supporter of the Rebels since 1949 and used to bike down to the Slough Centre to watch them play. He started taking me to the matches at the Dolphin in the mid 60's and we had been going ever since. We always stood on the halfway line with Vic and Paul Clemence,Dick and Les Cleverly,Steve Delaney,Pat Coffey and Reading Rebel amongst others.Funeral to take place at Slough Crem 28th June at 12:00 pm. Rest in peace Dad.

Up the Rebels

David,

So sorry to hear about Tony, obviously Kate had already passed on the news to me, and I have to say I was deeply saddened and shocked.

I hope you are all coping as well as possible at this difficult time.

With love, Mark and family.

Chris,

If you could notify Andrew for me it will be greatly appreciated. I first met Andrew just after he had lost his father and we used to go to football together with Jim Hughes. I have not seen him for at least 3 years now after he moved away.

Thanks,

David.

Hello David

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad.As I'm sure you remember I got to know you both when I started tagging along to matches with Jim Hughes all those years ago and you were all such a big help when I lost my dad.

Hope to catch up with you sometime soon.

Our thoughts are with you and all the family.
