Paul Bastock today underwent an operation to repair a torn cartilage in his knee which apparently he played with for the last six game of the season but managed to hide rather well.

One or two people were aware that the Great Man required a cartillage operation at the end of the season, Rob. I think that it was kept quiet on police advice to avoid panic in the streets and to avoid giving succour to Histon. It occurred that day he was injured at the Fortress playing against ??who??.

 

I hope that it was all straightforward, and a speedy recovery to t'lad. Good wishes from me.

I think the injury occurred against Histon, AFF. These things are sorted out with keyhole surgery these days aren't they? He'll be back up his ladders with his squeegee in no time.
