How we'll get on this year?

Are we looking at consolidation, pushing for a play-off place or going for promotion. Surely someone has heard what the aim is.

Personally, i'm hoping for a play-off place. cant see that being too unrealistic in the circumstances.

To be honest i would think the aim is to stay up and give the ex reserve Lads a chance to gain experience at a higher level.

Its also key we make some cash as we are starting off the season with very limited resources..

Mostly young team who will be aiming to please! They are all looking forward to proving their worth and will be giving 110% backed my John Batch whom is equally dedicated.

Don't think we'll have any problem staying up.

As for the cash we have a good backer, a dedicated team of fans whom are doing everything they can in the fund raising area.

As fans we should show our support - just like we have over previous seasons.

Just look at it as being a new team - forget what league we are playing in, that should make no difference to your loyalties.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!!!!

hopefully we shouldnt have any problems staying up. the one concern i have is how many people will turn up to watch!!

Many football fans are fickle and may shy away from coming each week. i know the hard core 100-150 will turn up week in week out but will that be enough?

I'm not familiar with the yellow army "flag and drum" squad but will they be their every game? i hope so as i think without them the ground wouldnt be so noisy!!!

I would think all of them will still attend matches.

Think the Yellow Army are dire hard Canvey Fans. Mostly young and probably had a Canvey shirt before they could walk

They are a dedicated lot and without some of them things may have been different.

Although saying that there are others (Chris for one) who are equally dedicated. There are many more whom I see week in week out who will be there rain or shine, win or loose!

The team are looking forward to hearing the drums and the songs.

After all why should they be treated any differently to last seasons team.

They are number one now!!!

I hope so Linney!!

I dont think everyone knows how much has gone into saving the club with work from some very dedicated people.

i hope we get 250-300+ for each home game plus 50+ for every away game bearing in mind they're all quite close

It is the Yellow Army's duty this season to go to as many games home and away this season. Because if we are making a load of noise each game, it in turn gives the players a lift and sends out a message that we are a club with great support going places. And again in turn, this makes people from other clubs want to make that journey to watch their team play us and makes people on Canvey know that it is still a great place to watch football and follow their successful local team!

Summed up perfectly.

i couldn't agree more Chalky boy. i camt imagine how good it must make the players feel to hear the Yellow Army bang their drums and cheer them on. Lets hope there's even more noise this coming season than there was last season

I honestly believe the fans can make a hughe difference next season.

We seem to have a relatively young side who are bursting to make an impression.

Can you imagine what a lift we can give them as fans by getting behind them - not just at Park Lane but on a cold winters evening round the M25 somewhere when perhaps it's not going quite so well.

We generally had 50-60 fans travel nationally so I'm sure we can take that or even realistically a hundred fans to away games. At many games, depending upon how the season is going, we could match the home support in numbers and getting behind the lads could mean the difference from no points to grabbing a draw or a win.

We can help get the most out of these lads. What must they feel like running onto that pitch being greeted by 300 odd fans and having your name cheered or sang - you just ain't going to get much more of an addrenalin rush than that after playing in the reserves.

If I can't wait for next season to start what must it be like for these lads?

you would be surprised

our players loved the fact they were playing in front of 4-500 people most home games and they said it gave them a lift.

And when we went away there was always 150 plus

even to the vase game up in northants

you will probably find more people travel away as the games are relativly close to you.

we will expect a few of you down at the bridge!
