I would have thought that `Itchin and Barnet were the biggies to the Saints..At least in my days...

But then I am rather a bit old fashioned.

I am also sorry that Scarborough were relegated, because I could have seen the City there next season ..Only 60 miles away for me. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" />

Oi! Webbo!!

The absence of publicity on the Official web-site for a prestige pre-season friendly like what the visit of the Mighty Hatters, is, could reduce the attendance from 10,000 to little more than 37 which, at £25 per head, represents err.. umm.. quite a lot of money, in the region of £250,000, ignoring match-day programmes, the sales of replica kit and other memorabilia, not to mention refreshments and the like.

It puts the £12,000 per season cost to the club of the appallingly negative match reports in the local press into perspective.

It might be too late now Webbo, the damage having been done, but could you put an advert in the Sits Vac column of the Times seeking a Press and Public Relations Liason Executive whose first duty could be to pick up the dog & bone and speak to the chap who used to drive the red tractor to obtain official confirmation? Just a thought. It could keep your name out of the match-day programme, mate.

What division are North Greenford United in, by the way?

Hmmmnnn. That Mail on Sunday chap is having to put up with watching that World Cup rubbish, presumably, too. [Perhaps I should send him an E-mail and suggest that he should mention to the Mad Swede at the next Media Presentation that Joe Cole hasn't got a left foot, which is likely to hamper his abilities to play wide on the left against any level of quality opposition?]

Hmmnnn. Back to the matter at hand.

I've had a thought. I suggest that, providing no-one has too far to travel, we should go to t'Park on July 12th on the off chance that we are playing Luton Town FC in a psf. I'll bring a ball and we can I have a quick game with jumpers for goal-posts outside in the park if there's nothing on at the Fortress.

Come to that, perhaps we should all wander down each evening from July 10th onwards on the off-chance that The Mighty Saints are to take on whoever wins the World Cup in a pre-season friendly as they break their journey on the way back to Ecuador or Spain or Holland or wherever.

We could be playing England next week! Perhaps Sven will give the paper-boy a game down at the Park.
