been away only to return and read new management r bringing in their own players

does that mean we have lost all the boys that had a fantastic season that won the treble? to new players now..im sure they will not be wanted if the new guy wants his own boys? i hope not!!!

That will be down to Mr McBride, apparantlly according to the powers that be (they put on this forum) that all players have been asked back for pre-season !

hmm..asked back that does not mean they will get a contract does it..thats sweet that its been confirmed they have been asked back for pre season how kind...interesting..time will tell..i am sure...

what a shame a great bunch of lads who have done extremely well in their first season together....won the treble now it appears an uncertain future at the club becuause a new guy wants to brng in his own boys..whats wrong with the old..why the change..

ohh if only JOHNNY HAD STAYED..

why bring changes to a proven successful team..i ask????????????????????

No one was on a contract last season !!!!!!!!!. So that makes no difference what so ever.

We only know of two that have decided not return.

I think we should all wait and see before we jump to conclusions please.

They have all been asked by letter (apart from one who's moved and we don't have his new address yet - but he has been invited back nonetheless)to come back for pre-season training.

 

As for 'how kind' I have no idea what point you are trying to prove here? Of course the players have been invited back, they are coming back to gain a first team place for the coming season, to show their fitness and impress their gaffer. You are being stupidly facetious in your comment that we have done the right thing, God knows what you would have said if they hadn't been invited back?

 

When teams get promoted do they always retain ALL their players season on season? Of course not - some wander off, some get offered more money elsewhere, some don't fancy it and those that are left (hopefully as many as possible) get the chance to play football with this club. I do hope they all return, but please don't be naive and foolish, no-one can guarantee that.

 

'Oh if only Johnny had stayed' - He resigned and that's it. Do you think we should have all sat around moping and just not appointed someone else, that would have been good wouldn't it?

 

Grow up, please try to understand reality and if you (as your post suggests) know nothing about football then please try another forum - perhaps Whingers-on-the Web or Microsofts new one Moaning for Dummies.

the afch players have enjoyed a great season in the esl and have put themselves in the spotlight...it is natural that other clubs will telephone our players as indeed clubs all over the country are at this moment in time telephoning players to put together next seasons teams...1000's of non league players will change their clubs in the next 3 weeks...its a bright new dawn and ambitions and optimism run high at this time of the year...budgets have to be spent and managers and chairmen all want the best players available...

 

with specific regard to the afch players from last season... they have every right to look at their options and make decisions best for their short careers....some will move on for more money perhaps...some will play for a club closer to home perhaps...some will get offered the chance to play at a higher level than ryman one north perhaps...they may all come back and take their chances with Colin perhaps... as most are good enough...but there are no guarantees at any level of football...

 

rumours abound and I have no doubt that most if not all of our players will have spoken to other clubs...it doesn't mean they are leaving afch and it doesn't mean they want to leave either...it means that they are doing what every football player in the world will do each close season...

 

weighing up their options and doing what is best for their careers and their families...

 

PM...I also only know of one that has left us for definate...

because if don't simulate with the new and learn to change you will end up extinct. The human being does not like change or things that are different.
