I am Kaiser Jnr because my surname is "King" (hence why people here call me 'Kingy'...) and German for King is...... yes.... KAISER!!!

At the end of the 92-3 season, I and a few others were accused of instigating a coup to oust the current board and bring in a money man.

Was it was true....I couldn't possibly comment!

However, Romford had a fanzine in the first season and I decided to start one in '93.

So whilst thinking of a title I looked at the Carlsberg logo and it just came to me. I managed to rejig the logo into Coupwotcoup?..it looked quite impressive if I say so myself!

The content ruffled a few feathers too...

J.R. are my initials, so it stuck when the 'Dallas' Series was on Televison.

 

When I was Secretary of a local footbal club, we had a tiny mid-fielder playing for us that originated from Glasgow.

 

He always referred to me as Big Fella, or Big Yin, me being 6ft-3" and him being just over 5 ft.

 

Hence, BIG J.R. !
