Yesterday, I was officially "invited" by the British Army to enlist with the forces and begin my basic training on July 10th... which means I'll be missing all the pre-season games, including those against Barnet and Spurs. Grrr.

 

The next time I'll be able to watch the Town play will be on or around the 26th August, which is seven weeks into my basic training. What are the odds on Town not playing during my time off!?

 

So, as I won't get the chance to see most of you again for a while, I may as well take this opportunity to say what a pleasure it was watching games with you fellas behind the goal this season. I wish you all the best for the future, and hope you give Town your usual excellent support throughout next season!

 

PS, someone will have to text me the Barnet and Spurs scores.

I'll be doing my Phase 1 (14 week basic training) and Phase 2 (24 week medical training) at Winchester Barracks.

Why are you going to Uganda? Holiday? Working out there?

Well we are proud of you for sure and the Army Medical Corp is getting a top man. I think Town should adopt your outfit on the basis we support our lads and lasses on active duty.

Email the occasional update to the webmaster or one of us and if there are any matches you want to get results of maybe we can text them?
