New Signing

For those that were present after the England game this afternoon, Canvey's first signing for the coming season was announced in the Clubhouse.

 

England U18 Goalkeeper, Ricky Wiseman has agreed a two year deal with the club after turning down several offers from local teams including Hornchurch and Thurrock.

 

Ricky was present at the Club today during the England game and received a round of applause for his commitment.

Ricky a quality keeper and he is a local lad who will be a role model to local kids!!

 

 

I hope he does get involved in some coaching!!

From what i hear a good signing and should get better with first team experience. I think canvey should still sign Brad King as rumoured from maldon to challenge Ricky Wiseman for the jersey so no one gets complacent although I hear he has agreed to sign for ryman prem club so must be quick.

 

we could have 2 of the best young keepers at this level of non league football.

have watched Ricky a fair bit, good keeper and a nice lad too. delighted that he will be with us next season.

Definitely a move in the right direction and sounds like an excellent prospect and long term signing.

 

Great to see that the club can still attract players with great potential even after recent events. Says a lot for the management and staff at the club and how much effort they must be putting in <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

This is a great signing for the club, well done to john! for not just getting him to sign but to sign for 2 years. i watched the cup final on the bank holiday monday and he made 3/4 match winning saves!

When Wayne announced Ricky's signing in the Clubhouse, he also mentioned other signings will be announced over the next few weeks.

 

It's only 6 days until the Ryman AGM, meaning the release of new registration forms. Once players have signed these and they've been secured their names will be announced.

Any news on when Ryman registration forms need to be filled in by and when the new players will get announced?

I don't think the registration forms have a deadline as such. There isn't a transfer window in this league.
