What a load of C***.

The liklihood of there being more than 1000 fans is highly unlikely for anymore games until Andy sorts that out - what a shambles.

Barnett - S***

Burton - S***

Bentley - for once absolutely no touch whatsoever

Jacko - the only player on the pitch as always

Barr - dog p**

Abbott - didnt move

Tostao - was not used in the game - why not?

To say im thoroughly dissapointed would be an understatement. I have followed this club for 10 or more years in my 21 years of being alive and i am not too happy with what i have seen for my £35 today!! We met in the bar as always at 1.0pm too get a few pre match beers in and discuss the game and the next few games - well the chances of me now going to nuneaton have dropped of the scale and the chances of going to the home games over christamas might take some persuading. I have never seen semi-pros look so much worse thanm myself and fellow sunday leaguers - i may even take my boots along and offer to play for no money. What a joke. If Gravesend can only muster one chance in 90 minutes - which to be fair to Barr ( oh on second thoughts lets not be fair ) should have been buried and went into the car park instead, then i really will be telling the likes of kingstonian to watch out next year cos we are back and we are angry.

Not happy - in fact for the normal personality of myself to be so taken out of the ordinary something really bad must have happened today. Gravesend were poor - in fact not just poor but overun and outplayed by the worst team i have seen at the fleet since Croydon!!

Kettering - deserved to beat us today, but couldnt string a pass sequence together and couldnt kick the round lump of leather when placed in front of them. What a load of c***. we have just lost to the worst team in the league comprehensively!! great!

I will no be about on thit board much but look forward to the comments from the likes of Alan W, Dave - gnfc, Stu M. It should be intereseting to hear you stick up fot the ridiculous fleet and stab me.

Goopd ridence to the team - my shirt will be posted back to the club so it can be washed and re-sold -

Many Thanks and best wishes to the fleet in the future

Think thats a slight over reaction!! IVe been suportin the Fleet for 7 years of my 16 on this earth! Yes it was a very poor performance today, but to stop suporting the Fleet on the basis of one performance is an over reaction! But i was very disappointed too, but fans have to get used to the fact we are not going to win week in week out anymore as has been seen last season! Just a question....Richard C werent you one of the ones posting here earlier in the season moaning about how people moaned at the team when they should be supporting them??

[****!!****]. We were [****!!****].

It's been building up like that for a little while now.

Much more and we'll be bottom by the new year.

Glad somebody named names before me.

Abbo - over-rated has been (looked good only against Grays reserves) - can we farm him off to Welling a.s.a.p. please?

Barr - still can't work out WHYYYYY?

Barnett / Burton - the conference has found them out.

Hatch - where is he? Do we care?

He isn't a conference player. He's a 'lucky' player.

On & on & on.

Sorry, but we just aren't good enough.

We can go on about injuries and bad refs (like I have)

but if the players are at the club they should be good enough.

There shoudn't be a first choice line-up - they should all be first choice.

Yes, there is a big jump from Ryman to conference;

perhaps that 'big jump' also applies to the coaching staff too?

Something needs to be done & fast.

Yes I have just got in and I'm angry.

Yet in the cold light of day it will still look the same.

We look very poor and in relegation form.

However, unlike Richard C, I will still be there.

Just not next week.

I think everyone needs to calm down. Fleetman's right, it was a poor performance (in my view, our worst of the season), but it was only one game, and we can hardly blame the players for losing the tough games we had last month.

Okay, all our players were below their best today, but they're not going to get any better if we desert them.

We know we can play better than that, and with more games coming up against sides that are near to us in the table, we must take some points.

P.S. Richard C looks quite silly posting a message like the one above with his signature "Gravesend 'til I die" still present at the bottom.

Of course we are all 'wound up' by today's result but let's put it into some sort of perspective.

Imagine how you would feel if you had spent thousands of pounds to following the England Cricket Team during the present Ashes series. I don't know about anyone else but I'd call that disappointment!

We dont really want to win every week. At least the games will stay important.

Any long term fleet fan will have seen this before. Wait for the big crowds and then see it all come crashing down.

I hear a rumour that a certain popular player is about to leave the club, is refusing treatment and has had fisticuffs with another player (or maybe two even). Anybody know anything or is somebody winding me up.

I reckon the Fleet will win at Nuneaton..wait and see

I have to say i agree with Richard C and Super Daz with their comments abt certain individuals and i think Andy needs to act now but the question is can he really act to correct the slide??

1) Finances - We made abt 60k GBP alone last yr just from getting to 1st round of FA Cup. This year we made zero and we're spending more on players wages. What worries me is some of the sh1te that he's brought in.

Summer signings in my opinion.

a) Jimmy Strouts - Four years past his conference best.

B) Gary Abbott - 3 yds of pace lost and 1 stone heavier than when he was at Aldershot playing RYMAN football.

c) Lew Watts - Gone, says it all.

d) Hamid Barr - Fancy flicks and party tricks. Been awful from day one.

e) Paul Sturgess - Whats the point in signing him? We have Skinner and Jacko if need be at left back. When Sturgess is fit where's he going to play..Seems a complete waste of wages to me.

Other problem areas:

1) Nick Burton is TOO BLOODY SMALL to play center back in a back 4. He would make an excellent sweeper for us yet against decent tall opposition he's always exposed. Nearly every other team has a 7ft center half to mop up headers. We dont have that and just put pressure on ourselves all the time.

2) Forwards - We need a DECENT striker and not Gary "38 yrs old" Abbott. We have zero movement up front and if u have players with no mobility and strikers that dont make diagonal runs etc etc you get defenders playing hoof football up to the donkeys to try and win a flick on. This is whats happening at the moment and if this continues we'll finish bottom. I disagree with Super Daz, the BEAST is key to our season. He makes the runs and frightens defences. We need him back ASAP.

Anyway todays performance was an absolute disagrace and what worries me is that Andy will try and correct the situation by making signings from the lower leagues because thats all he can afford. I think though that the majority of fans have the same feelings abt certain players and we cant all be wrong can we??

We are supporters of this club and this season was always going to be a bonus after 20 odd years without conference football. Whatever happens i will be there to every home game and some away matches. I only ever shout encouragement at the games and never get on anyones back but as this is an open forum, this is the place to vent anger unfortunately....COME ON THE FLEET, ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS ARE A FEW 1-0 WINS.

I agree, i definately think Liam is the key to our season, and i think we are missing steve mckimm! Macca always up for the matches, always first to 50/50 chances, provides good ball! WE are missing him, and Liam, our last win was at Barnet, we had Liam, we lost him and now we are losing! he provides that extra height up front and pace and he is willing to run at defenders! I would love to see Liam and Macca back ASAP, but Macca we are gonna be wating a long time to see !

The Beast guarantees you 110% effort and scares defenders but he alone is not key to the season.

Francis Duku was probably the main reason we went up instead of that other lot and when he is back in the side I think we will start keeping a few clean sheets. Once we start doing that then one goal will get us three points instead of needing two or three goals to get a draw.

The Fridge and Jacko are the keys to this season, they were before it started and they are even more so now.

Blimey lads , get real .

As previously explained my son's birthday meant missing today but for goodness sake , we knew it would be tough and 19th is a perfectly acceptable end of season position .

I'm sure Barr and Abbott are only cheap stop gaps and Andy will get in players of the calibre required .

Never lose sight of 23 May 1988 for us ,or Maidstone or the Darts . The club must stay in budget and Andy has had a nightmare injury scenario , paying many players when not playing .

The Fleet is for life , not just the good days .

Richard C, I know what you can do with your £35 from now on......Subscribe to sky sports....settle down on your sofa and call yourself a real football supporter.

I must confess to being one of the early deserters, with five mins to go I simply couldn't take any more. Truly awful. Sadly I've seen it all before. I'll be back next week.

Funny thing is my 5 year old son said to me after witnessing two fudged short corners "Dad. Why don't they just kick it into the box ? "

What a muppet. Call yourself a supporter. Go back to supporting your Premiership team whoever they may be. You sir are the disgrace, not the players.

Yes i know it was sh*t but its at times like this, when the team are struggling that they need our support!!!!! If people stop coming, the players are going to knows its because they lose, and how demoralising is that?? Meaning we will lose more! But we get behind the team at this tough time, and they will start getting the results for us again! I think its at times like these, we will see who the true Reds are!

OK - Today we were truely awful, but, as others have mentioned, one dire performance is not the end of the world.

The lads have had a long run without a win and confidence is bound to be low. But what little confidence they have got left will surely desert them altogether if we do nothing but try and destroy them by caning them for their inadequacies- surely they need all of us to get behind them now, far more than singing their praises when the results have been going their way.

COME ON YOU REDS !!!!!!!!!!

It's gone 2am and I thought I'd let others vent their spleens, and give me time to calm down, but having read the above messages I'm wound up again.

We were absolutely f*****g s**t today. No one, not one single 'Fleet' player made the slightest impression on the worst Conference side to play at Stonebridge Road this season, including ourselves. Kettering have the worst defence I've seen this season, so why do we play short corners and corners to the front post straight into the keepers arms, instead of into the middle or back of the box, out of reach of the keeper, to be headed, tapped or toe-poked into the net?

Eight uninspiring games without a win and from 7th down to 16th is not based on one performance.

Quote:

boaky: 1 bad game does not make a poor team

True, but a handful does, one win in three would be nice. The heroes of last season Stadhart, Jackson, Burton, Hatch, Skinner, Barnett, Lee etc., are ghosts, mere shadows that are out of their depth and the new names are either coasting or past it. Andy what's with this long ball sh**e, what's happened to the fast paced short ball passing game of last season?

Quote:

ANDREW C: Imagine how you would feel if you had spent thousands of pounds to following the England Cricket Team during the present Ashes series.

I couldn't give a flying f**k about cricket, I'm a football supporter who has already spent hundreds of pounds this season.

Will I be at Nuneaton, Margate, Dagenham in fact all the away games? Yes. Will I miss a home game? Of course not. Damn the expense, I'll be there through thick and thin. I don't expect to win the league every season, but at least make it worth my while turning up with the expectation of being entertained.
