Does 'added to [the] squad' mean he's with us on a non-contract basis, or has he signed a deal? If the latter, how long for? More fuzzy information emanating from the Club.

 

EDIT: Also, the article on the official website states that he left Stevenage at the end of 2004/2005, when it was in fact the season just gone.

The news item has now been updated with all the relevent information.

I assume then that in future you would rather wait until we have the players's inside leg measurement rather than the brief details first updated when everything is ready.

Suits me, I only have to do it once that way.

And even he wasn't rated highly at Stevenage, should that matter in our current circumstances? They're judging players by whether they're going to win them the Conference. We're not. I doubt Jacko, Saunders or Bradley Johnson would make the Stevenage team, and therefore probably wouldn't be rated by Boro fans either.

I hope that our new signing doesn't log into this forum page, because if he does he'll be handing in a transfer request before he's even kicked a ball for us, with all the negative responses on here. So let me be the first(i think)and welcome Rob to the fleet and hope he has a good season.

Not all of the postings are negative Fleetboy but you are right to point out that we are too busy argueing over how good a signing he is to give the bloke a decent welcome.
