The graveones have released another defender, saying he is out of there price bracket. The 20 year old was on loan from Fulham (later released)last season and is said to have played well. Another full time team in the Ryman Premier looming i think.

Chatham Gary said: Solid enough defender, but looked completely as sea past the halfway line

To be fair, while there wasn't a huge range to his passing, his crossing looked pretty accurate when he was able to get forward.

question for Chatham Gary / j.c. / David Holden & any other Fleet Fans

Having seen us go into freefall with two(and almost a third) successive relegations due to financial restrictions. How worried are you about the effects of culling your squad this summer? Is Liam Daish the man to rebuild your squad?

Our squad last year clearly WAS good enough for the Conference. How it was managed is still the subject of a lot of debate.

Personally, I thought we were too defensive, were tactically inept, and had little organisation.

The over rapid move to full time, and the club's unwillingness to play ANY part timers, of course meant a wholesale cull and the killing off of any team spirit and "togetherness"

The rebuilding has started, with a seemingly massive reduced budget.

How that pans out onto the field remains to be seem.

There are those of us who are sceptical, mostly 30 year+ supporters who have seen it, watched it and got the T shirt.

There are others who are happier to wait auntil August and see what summer brings.

From experience, that is often too late and the team spends the winter playing catch up.

Having watched proud clubs like yourselves go into freefall, it is not a thing I we can let happen at Fleet, luckily, we have a financially astute board, who simply will not overspend.

I guess, if following that mantra results in relegation , so be it.

A hard pill to swallow, but a better option than bankruptcy.

Good luck for next season, I will be following your results with interst, and hope to get to a coulple of games, to see the fleet "reserves".
