Thats the worst luck ANY player could get on the eve of the World Cup in particular.Poor fellow.He must be gutted! Wasn't he picked to start ahead of Trezeguet?

Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse could be out of the World Cup after being carried off with a suspected broken leg in France's friendly against China tonight.

 

Cisse fell awkwardly in a challenge early in the first half of the match in St Etienne.

 

The 24-year-old, whose future at Anfield is uncertain, missed the majority of the 2004-05 season with a similar injury.

One question, why were France playing in a friendly so close to the start of the world cup, much as England were.? Asking for trouble really.

Even a small knock and you could easily miss the first round games.

i filcked on to the france game at the precise time as he was just falling it looked nasty his leg seemd to just bow as it hit the ground i must admit looked most painful.
