World Cup referees have been instructed to deny footballers the wearing of jewellery,including wristbands.Correct in the eyes of football law. Even taping over them will not be allowed.

A booking will be incurred should someone forget to ditch their rings(including wedding rings). It has been mentiond that in on case a player,in December 2004,midfielder Paulo Diogo,playing for Servette in the Swiss league,tore off the top of his finger after jumping into the crowd to celebrate a goal. He caught his wedding ring on a security fence,losing half a digit.

Here is the "laughing" bit. The referee booked him for celebrating his goal excessively.

World Cup referees have been ordered to crack down on diving,which makes it such a shame Jurgen Klinsmann is coaching the hosts & not still playing for them.You only had to brush past the T.V,& Klinsmann would fall over.Under these new rules,he'd never have finished a match.
