I see central defender Patrick Ada has been released by St Albans.

imo thats the sort of strong defender we need.

I just can't see how RTand JDOnovan are going to get through 50 plus games even with Hasim as back up.

It does concern me that RT will try and do too much.

I think we need a strng centre back so we can perm anyone from 3 in RT,JD plus another quality central defender. It would be nice to see that no matter how good they may be ,RT contacts extend beyond Kent and Essex teams he has play for

Once again. Next season as one difference to the last few, a RESERVE side. If/ no when we get the right players into that set up then hopefully we will see competition for places. Though only a month to go to the first game against Millwall i am sure this as been thought about. We hopefully have a stream of young hopefuls (like last year) queuing up for trials and the last few places available. From what i have caught wind of, you will hardly recognise young Donovan this season. A week last Tuesday i went to Monkton (Gillingham fc training school) to watch my under 10 son play the Gills under 10 academy side. Naturally the Academy side won 9-0, they were very well coached, they were 1/2 a yard quicker at the start to the ball, all in all a well drilled very fit side. Though my boys team were at first shell shocked they came through and by the second 1/3( they played 3 at 25 minutes each)they started to compete and started chasing the game until in the 3rd 1/3 they became tired.

This game reminded me of the Staines Margate match at the beginning of last season. Staines were so much quicker to the ball and though gaaate boys tried to compete and had there chances they just were just not fit enough. This year i expect, given the way Trottie conducted himself in the last 5 or so games of the season, this will not be the case, the boy's will be fit as race horses and not have the negativity surrounding them they had last season. Do not worry Michealmicheal, things are in hand. What we need to happen and what we can do is to support the team, club and the "Blue Gate" club house to the best of our ability. The more we can do the more the club as for Trottie. Any body out there who is thinking of a function, think "bluegate". Tell family and friends, It does make a difference. Lets have a THOUSAND plus to watch Millwall.
